Three Cool Things

The first cool thing is, I'm officially out the 1000s and now am ranked at 948. Baby steps.

The second cool thing happened yesterday. So, as I've been sharing, my website, www.hawktownoutlet.com is geared towards Seattle Seahawks fans known as 12s. It provides gift ideas. So one of the ideas that I had posted was for a titanium bottle opener. Now, my focus is not big companies, but promoting and sharing products made by 12s. They're usually handmade. So, this particular bottle opener was sold out and I contacted the owner to see when he would be making more. He said that he would make another limited run of 6 bottle openers.

Well, one of my friends who I originally told about the bottle opener got it. He thanked me on Twitter for sharing it with him. I RT'd it and provided the link to www.hawktownoutlet.com. So I tweeted it out yesterday at 5:27pm and since I'm using StatCounter, I literally saw in real time people going into the website in order to find it and purchased it and by 5:45pm, he was sold out of the 6 bottle openers. So about every 3 mins, someone bought one. It was super cool to witness and be a part of. Now he's making more because there were others that wanted it but were too late.

The third cool thing is just watching where people are coming from that are checking out the site. So far, the site has reached 15 states (AK, AZ, CA, FL, HI, ID, IL, KS, MI, MT, NJ, OR, TX, UT, WA) & 7 countries (Australia, Canada, Japan, New Zealand, Thailand, Philippines, USA).
