Baby steps. but lots of them
I stumbled across WA thanks to an affiliate recommendation form a current top 200 member @NEH whilst I was looking at what I can devote my time to and try to make some money on the side. I didn't want a get rich quick scheme that involved lots of up front capital as I just didn't have huge amounts of money to invest. Working in IT I already have experience of WordPress, so thought why the hell not give affiliate marketing a go.
I signed up to WA little over two weeks ago and have been premium for almost one. I've loved everything that I have done so far, and have learnt masses already.
My niche was one that I kind of fell in to. It's not exactly at the top of my interests, but is always something that I've followed and by a chance conversation that I had with a colleague months ago I've put the two together and come up with my golf orientated idea.
I'm not concentrating on earning any money at the moment, as sure that will come. I'm focusing on making sure that the website looks good, is functional and ranks well on all the search engines.
I'm not a writer, so producing content is my biggest challenge, but I'm learning quickly and beginning to reduce the amount of time it takes to produce a blog entry of page of content.
I hope to have a finished website up and rolling by the end of this year, but the imminent arrival of our baby may scupper those plans, so I'll settle with making steady and constant progress.
