Mid-Year 2019 Update
It's been a little while since I blogged here at WA so I thought I'd log in and share a mid-year update (I log into the WA platform daily, just haven't written a blog.)
Things have been chugging along nicely in 2019. I currently have 3 sites in different niches - 1 in the lifestyle niche which I started in 2016, 1 healthy living blog I started in late 2017 and my newest blog in the MMO niche, which is DigitalNomadMom.com (I started that a couple months ago.)
My lifestyle blog is my biggest earner, and I honestly don't have the time to do much work on it. For that reason, the income has stayed pretty steady and hasn't grown much compared to 2018. That's fine by me - I don't expect my income from that site to grow if I'm not putting in the work required to grow it!
I'm currently in the process of selling my healthy living blog. We're in the final stages right now - the money is in escrow, I just need to transfer everything over and do a quick training with the new owner on how to run Pinterest. I get the majority of my traffic from Pinterest and have a Pinterest course on Udemy, so it'll be very easy for me to train the new owner (I'll just use the trainings from my Udemy course!)
I'm really happy about the sale of my healthy living site for a couple of reasons:
1) It will free up some time for me to work on other things
2) We're moving to Japan in 2 weeks, so this site is one less thing I have to do/worry about
3) It's awesome to think that I created this site from scratch, created all the content, used only organic traffic sources (no paid traffic) and I was able to sell it for a tidy profit
4) I was losing passion for this site, so I'm happy to see it go to someone who actually wants to run it
As for DigitalNomadMom.com - it's chugging along nicely. Currently getting around 100 pageviews a day, with a record of 169. I honestly haven't had the time I'd like to put into this site, with everything else that's going on life-wise at the moment (i.e. moving to Japan, coordinating the sale of my healthy living site.)
Despite that, I'm quite happy. I've written 31 high-quality, well-keyworded articles, and many of my keywords are already ranking in Google.
So that's where I'm at in 2019, blog-wise!
How is your year going? Are you happy with your progress?

Hi,
I am one month in and have signed up for the year. Thanks for the post, its great to hear from people that have been doing it for a while as it shows people have been in it for the longhaul and are being successful. The success element is probably the most important as it shows that it is achievable.
You're welcome. Yes, I loved reading success stories when I first started blogging (I still do actually) so I'm happy to share mine for others to read :)

Great work! Sounds like things are really rolling for you. Good for you. I'm a month and a half in and trying to do at least 1 post a week with still working a full time job. Things are definitely progressing. Just need to keep putting the work in.
Thanks so much! Awesome to hear that things are progressing for you!
