My progress so far
Hi everyone thanks for following along. It definitely is time for a little update about my progress so far here on WA and my progress on my website. I feel that I didn't get manage to reach any of my goals I set before the month of April started therefor this will not just be an update for you but also a reflection for me! I will start with the progress here on WA after that I'll be moving on to the website progress and ending up with a scatter of progress on my online journey in general.
Keep in mind I joined at the end of March 2018 so there is an extra week included in this timeline. The last week of April I was on holiday so I guess it will be more or less a time frame of a month.
Progress on WA
I'm enjoying WA so far, decided to keep to a monthly subscription for now since I don't really know how far I can push my online journey. Most likely I will be upgrading to a yearly subscription since the hosting along is already worth it and the discount on the yearly is well worth it.
Goals reached:
- WA Rank from 100k+ to 11590
- From 2 followers to 130 followers (I thank all of you)
- Finished course 1 of the training
- Created my first website and two others but not bothering with these at the moment
- 3 blog posts
Goals for May
- WA Rank <10000
- Finish course 2 and 3 of the training
- Update my WA Profile
In may, I will put less focus on WA and more on my website I believe at this moment I'm spending too much time on the social and helping others! Which is a good thing to add to the community but less for myself. Don't worry I'll be sure to join chat on every tea break!
Progress on the website
I've learned a lot by following the course so far and following other peoples training. Next to that my activity here led to some nice insights people shared on live chat for instance, thank you all!
Goals reached
- 4 content posts
- About me and privacy policy added
- Added logo to the website
- 3 comments on a post
Goals for May
- 10 extra content posts
- 1 product review
- 10 extra comments on at least 3 different posts (I will need your help!)
- Get Google analytics and webmaster ready
I am not satisfied what I managed this last month and therefor I want to get from 1 post per week to 2+ posts per week. I am not sure whether I will be able to due to work and such I will discuss later on. I believe that I should at least write them down so I will be able to reflect on it next month. The goal is to give all of you at least a monthly update but feel free to contact me if you can't wait on that ;)!
Progress in general
I have the feeling this last month I've absorbed so much information and a lot of that information comes from the WA and it's community, because of this overload on information I also felt myself being pulled from left to right.
Nonetheless, I feel all this information is finding a place in my head more and more. There is so much to keep in mind not just in building and writing but also in regulations. My main concern being the new European privacy laws being implemented by the end of May. These laws apply to any of you having visitors from Europe, (probably most of you) so be sure to dive into this!
I feel more than ready at the moment to start amping up my game and this first week of may will be used to write two posts and get the rest of the month planned out!
Goals for May
- Finish reading "the 4-hour work week" by Timothy Ferris.
- Getting a work schedule going outside of work
- Picking up exercising again after a 3-month injury!
- Get help to build my business or help with personal task (outsourcing!)
Juggling my online business and the rest!?
Currently I'm working as a HR and Payroll consultant. I do this for 40 hours per week and this means a lot of my time and energy is spent on this. Being a consultant means I work for clients in their office, most of the time this goes together with a long commute.
Next to that I am following a course regarding the work I do. The time needed for this is another 8 hours per week and this is excluding the actual lessons which are given after work once every two weeks.
As you can see this already sucks up a lot of my available time. Next to that I have the need to exercise because I need to let out that physical energy else I start becoming an evil version of myself! Therefor I will pick up my 3 to 4 times a week training schedule going again after the 3-month injury as mentioned before! I can't wait!
The most important reason I started my online business journey is my long distance girlfriend who I met during my work time in Spain. She deserves just as much attention as all things mentioned before. I'll be sure to elaborate a bit more on the reason why when I update my WA profile.
Conclusion
As you can see I wasn't happy about my progress in April and I'm sure to be picking up more speed and checking all the goals mentioned here. Therefor a well performed schedule will be necessary. Lots of things learned in the whole process so far and I'm sure there is a lot to be learned in this month.
What are your feelings about my progress so far and about my goals mentioned above. I would love to hear your comments and your feedback on all of this. I'm sure I can do all of this! Please leave any tips or ideas which can help me on my journey.
Thank you all for reading and be sure to keep your eyes out for my updated profile.
Good luck to all of you!
Peter

Awesome achievements in such a short period of time Peter! You're going to rock this, provided that you've set very clear goals for yourself. It's just a matter of time! All the best :)
Thanks for the encouragement Jerry! Ill be sure to update next month to see if I managed these goals!
Hello Peter, you are busy. One way of managing your posts is to group tasks. Kyle made this suggestion in a training. First do your keyword research, saved them in SiteContent. Create headlines for the posts you intend to write and create sub-headings for each. Write your content ad then add images and links.
Thanks Harvey, I've been thinking about doing this, I'll be sure to integrate this into this month. I'll let you know how it worked out next month :)
Any idea where I can find this training or is it part of the course?
It was part of the training for the Super Wealthy Affiliate Challenge, now being called SWAG. If you type in the words using Site Conent the training will show. If it does not PM me.
Sounds like you are doing pretty good, especially since you have a 40/hr week job also.
2 posts a week is a good goal for you. Try to do longer posts - closer to 2000 words if you can. Post that are "best of ....2018" will do well for you. When you need comments I'll be glad to give some. Are you doing a niche site or a bootcamp site? - Shirley
Thanks for your kind message Shirley. I appreciate the tips here. Im finding out the word count gets easier the more I write so over time the 2000 words should get easier. Currently I'm working on a niche site you can find it on my profile!
I will be sure to find you when I want that comment goal checked.
Thanks again.
Wow - you've done a lot since you are working too. Congratulations on your progress and kudos to you that you track your progress and you set up goals for your next milestones! You're way ahead of me on that!

Good luck to you Peter! You can do this!
Thank you Winda, some goals are already made others are far from! But the month is only halfway done!
I'm also new here too and I'm taking baby steps everyday as there are many jargon words that i don't understand. But I think its what the hearts and sweat that we put in that counts :)
Definitely also the more you learn the easier the words will get. Soon you'll be an expert on online business. Keep in mind that at this point you already know more than 90% of the world's population!
Same goes for you!
