Is it ethical to promote an affiliate training program like WA?

Time and time again I see the question: whether it is really ethical to promote an affiliate training program, like WA, that shows people how to setup an online business?

New marketers want to know whether it is right and proper to be an affiliate for training that shows you how to become an affiliate. They’re bothered by this, as if there was something different about doing this instead of, or as well as, being an affiliate for, say, a book or set of videos that shows you how to get your ex back.

I understand their doubts. But I like to think of it like this…

You’ve probably, at one time or another, bought something on Amazon. When you did, I bet you read the reviews, right? And did those reviews influence you to buy, or not to buy as the case may be? Sure they did.

How many times have you been online, looking to purchase something, and ended up on a review site or a blog that points out all the good and the bad about that product? I’ll bet that happens to you all the time.

The fact is that, these days, we all suffer from fearfulness and a lack of trust. There are so many scams and poor products out their that we don’t, fully, trust our own judgement anymore. So we rely on other people’s opinions. And the people we trust the most are the ones who have used the product.

Because, if you use a product, you know exactly all about its good points and bad points, don’t you?

OK, here’s another question for you…

If you buy a product and it turns out to match or even exceed your expectations, do you recommend it to your friends and family?

Of course you do. You’ve just bought a brand new SUV. You find that it easily swallows up your kids and your friends kids and the dog and all the luggage. Then, when you’re on holiday, you find its 4 wheel drive system gets you out of tricky situations, like fording a river or getting through a snowdrift. It also doubles as a truck for moving big items around. And it’s highly reliable and does over 50 mpg into the bargain.

So, next time you’re in conversation with someone and they say they are looking to buy an SUV, do you recommend the one you bought? Sure you do.

It’s only natural to recommend products and services that we, ourselves, have benefitted from. And continue to benefit from.

So, there you go. If you’ve been through an affiliate training program that shows you how to run an online business and profit from it, why wouldn’t you recommend that to everyone you know who’s interested in it? And also recommend it to anyone else who wants to know how to become a successful affiliate.

In fact you’d be doing them a favor, wouldn’t you? Because they wouldn’t waste their money on other systems that are either a scam or won’t benefit them at all.

So, yes, the answer is that it IS ethical, right and proper to recommend anything that you’ve found useful and offers great value. That includes affiliate marketing training programs that you’ve been through and know, first hand, work.

I hope that clears that question up for you.
