Is Google Alert the best source for new content ideas?

Hi Everyone,
When I went through the lessons in the initial training there were loads of different topics to cover and if you are like me you probably felt tempted every now and then to miss some out and just tick to say you have done them anyway. Being a bit OCD I couldn't bring myself to tick any that I hadn't actually done so I went through each one even if I didn't think they were relevant for me.
One of those topics was the one that covered setting up Google Alerts and I am now so glad that I didn't skip that task, this is now my single biggest source of ideas for posts and if you are not using it then I suggest you give it a try. I set up a Google alert for 2 search terms and now every day I get an email with links for every time either of those terms are mentioned anywhere on google.

About 70% of the links are not relevant for me but at least 2 times per week I find a link that gives me an idea that I will use to create a post, I have gone from struggling to think of ideas to having a list of over 50 ideas for posts and now my biggest problem is getting the time to write them.
Now with Kyle announcing the Hubs Platform I have the perfect place to add all of the ideas i have collected and integrate them into my workflow, it is perfect timing and feels like a lot of pieces have just come together.
Thanks Kyle and the WA Team
