How many blog posts is enough?

Hello dear WA community, i just woke up, its not even a 4 o clock in the morning here in Croatia. I have to drive for Uber today.. im drinking coffee which is a must have for me in the morning and I am wondering.. how many articles is good enough to start your blog?

Going too fast?

Every niche is different, and not every niche has countless sources and posts you can write... that is in my case, I dont have too much to write about.. i wrote like 15 posts in 3-4 weeks at the beginning and then in the last 25 days i made just 3 new blog posts.. I am wondering if that was too quick? Would it be better if I wrote only 2 articles every week to have some schedule? I dont want to make everything in 3 months and then I wont have so much to write about..

Broad or Targeted Niche

Okay, we all know that broad niches are harder to rank for on search engines, but targeted niche like mine does not have too much to write about.. what when I write everything I wanted? We should always update with a new content, and for me, 5-10 more articles and I dont know what will I write about after that..

I did a little research on google and I have found that it can vary from blog to blog, some bloggers made only 4-5 pages and had success.. Still, if you want to be close to page one on google, you need to always have fresh content..

Its easier with niches like make money online, dating, sex, how to lose fat etc because there is always something new. for instance, basketball skills and drills which is a part of a training here is very small niche and dont have too much to write about...

I picked up a smaller niche - recovering from surgery.. which is not broad.. I mean its connected to health in general so i always can write some articles but not strictly targeted to recovery from surgery..

Question for successful ones..

If someone from experienced ones can answer my question here in comments.. we all want to finish courses as quick as possible, but what if that option is not always good.. what if sometimes its better to be slow with our blog making.. i finished 4 classes in 4 weeks, and didnt finish last one since then because im lack of time, but lack of new posts also..

If any of you can give me answer to that? Or within our small niche we can write broad posts that are a bit outside of our main topic of the blog so we always have new content?

Overthinking...

I know that I am maybe overthinking all, but I am just curious.. any help will be great for me and for everyone reading this blog post..

It's always more difficult if you pick a niche that's too narrow. Your blogs will have to be perfect if you can only write 30 or fifty blogs.I do know one guy who did well with only 25 but every blog ranked high and he used paid advertising as well. My advice would be to start a broader niche. You should be able to write 100 plus blogs. Jim

As Susan says as well, consistancy is also better. Jim

It's not really the number of blog posts that is as important as the consistency of your posting - something I'm finally learning to grasp.

My plan for now: create a weekly summary of ideas/inspirations I've collected throughout the week and publish that post every 7 days. I find this to be much easier than trying to brainstorm a new idea each time I sit down to the keyboard.

As time allows I'll throw in an extra post or two.

My strategy is to begin slow and steady - working up to consistently publishing 3-4 posts a week. I can't say yet if it is a good strategy but is one that helping to publish more consistently.

Hope this helps!
Susan

Yes, the consistency is the key.. thats what I am thinking.. just dont want to stay out of ideas.. but I think you are right, its the best to take one day and just thinking about ideas what to write.. prepare for the upcoming few weeks, and then write.. thanks a lot :)
