Old Blog Post Brings Back Old Goals
I wrote this little blog post a couple of years ago on a long forgotten (by me) Blog Circle. As i was cleaning out my files tonight this little post caught my eye.
I wrote the article just after I made my first money.
I was so happy.

A Small Success
I began writing for a living 5 years ago. It's a slow process. If the money from my previous life were not there to support me, I would have starved to death by now. Still, the small stipend ($2.24) was something.
It gave me the proof I needed to continue in this latest endeavor of mine.
I still have many of my writing skills left over from my Army days.
There was hardly a day that went by I didn't need to write about something or some one.
Between, countless lesson plans, action reports, and the written evaluations of soldiers in my charge, it was essential to know the rudiments of writing.
Flash Forward 16 Years
I have entered a different phase in writing now. Although the skills required for writing articles are basically the same as I spent many years doing in the Army, the practice is altogether different.
In order to be read, the almost perfect chemistry of blending keywords with topics of interest are a requirement. It also helps to have a strong writing voice. Not just any voice, but a strong, unique voice. What's really funny is, even after the article is written in a stylish and strong method, writing about something that doesn't sound like its regurgitated is damn near impossible.
So Much To Learn
I have the basic writing skills. The skills I need to develop now are the ones, which will sell my articles.
There is so much new stuff I have to learn about article marketing. I can't say I'm excited about it. There are going to be times when I might not care. I'll have to rid myself of this attitude if I intend to make a living as an article marketer.

And that is no one's fault but my own.
Maybe it's time to start again.

Don't put it off another day. The very fact that you posted this tells me that it is time. To your continued SUCCESS!
It's inevitable that there's things we lose site of (generally for very good reasons). You can still pick it up. Perhaps now the the time is right!
I think you need to restart again, and I'm 100% percent that if you focus this time you'll be able to make with out counting 16 years back and I believe in you:)
