I have been with WA for a couple months and have decided to keep my bio a little shorter...

I am moving my bio to my blog, I didn't want it to disappear. I want to remember when I first started...you know when I am doing this full time someday.

About Me

Hello my name is Nic - outdoor loving 33 year old husband and father lucky enough to have 2 healthy children...and a French Bulldog named Bruce Wayne.

I received a BA in Marketing and a minor in English... having said that I have worked in construction most of my working life. I worked construction throughout college to pay tuition. I worked in the marketing department of a broker-dealer, I actually enjoyed the work but I wasn't happy with the pay and long hours. I found working with my hands, as a carpenter I could make more money for the same amount of hours. But - not only was I working longer hours as a carpenter, I was putting more wear and tear on my body.

Currently, I have mashed the 2 career paths up and am working as a construction consultant for a general contractor. To say the least...I want more in my life.

I am looking to get out of the "9 to 5", the "working for someone else", the "dreading Monday" job. After all, the word JOB stands for Just Above Broke in my mind, whether it be in time lost or finances. After hours and hours of research, reading forum reviews, watching countless YouTube channels on everything from penny stocking with Tim Sykes to dropshipping with Hayden Bowles - I have recently decided to change the current path I have been on.

I came across what is called "Growth Mindset" through a long series of "research" catching one of - Tai Lopez's ads, which next led to Mike Vestil and after that, Tim Ferris - yada yada yada (you get the picture) - then I came across Tom Bilyeu, the founder of Quest Nutrition and the host of Impact Theory on YouTube which inroduced me to a guest he had on; Carol Dweck, the author of " - "mindset: The New Psychology of Success". In my opinion, the holy grail of the self development and mind progression.

I didn't really read much at the time but I thought "what's the worst that could happen?" "I waste 15 bucks and life goes on?"...I figured I would give it a shot. This book changed my life overnight in every aspect of my life, I am not kidding when I say "every". It is a lot of the reason I am even on WA today.

I am a true kid at heart and always will be, always dreaming, always chasing what is told "you can't" do or have, while providing shelter, food and love for my family. I love the outdoors, snowboarding, hiking, running, camping - you name it. I am a big fan of all sports. I am obsessed with the human mind and what it is capable of. I just did a 10 day fast (yes no eating of any food, I had 8 oz of coffee everyday however - so call it what you want). The end goal is to create an online business, that revolves around fitness and the growth mindset - not really sure where to start...that's why I am here.

I am here to seek mentorship, seek a community that is supportive of chasing dreams, helping each other achieve the task of becoming free and independent. Understanding the realities of "how to make it" in this new entrepreneurial world.
