I've been using site Kit for some time now.
It doesn't affect site load speed because it simply acts as a front end for GA and GSC ... I find it excellent. especially for access to Page Speed tools.

I just installed it on a site of mine that is here at WA, and I'm going to try it on another site as well. Don't do this when you only have a very few minutes! It didn't that me terribly long, but I got into troubleshooting and it did take some time.
