Can anyone explain to me how my ranking has slipped more than 2000 places in two days?
Everyone here at WA is having trouble in one way or another. Site Rank I think is not the only factor. Plug in's are a big issue with everyone with WA.
There has not been any official confirmation of a computer problem yet. Everyone seems to think it will be worked out.
I think I would go to chat and see what the other members know. I would not worry too much about it right now.
If this is all a computer glitch then we need to give SUPPORT time to work it out for all of us.

You are talking about your WA member ranking rather than your sites' rankings, right? (Your current ranking shows as around 5000. Was previously around 7000? If so, the 2000 point decrease in that number is an improvement in your ranking rather than a slip.)
WA rankings can change significantly in a short time, especially for newer members. To see your ranking factors, click on the blue "Rank" icon near the upper right corner of the WA main page. You'll see points listed for the "Helper", "Creator", and "Activity" categories. These are totaled into the right-most column for your total points. As you become more active at WA, you accumulate points. Your point total is then compared to all other WA members' points to determine your ranking.

I am talking about my WA ranking which had been slowly getting better(lower) since I started and despite a large increase in my WA activity in the last couple of days which does not seem to have been captured in the system(?) my rank has slipped from around 3450 to where it is now.
This makes no sense at all!

I notice that you're back up 1000 or so positions to around 4000 today. I've never been able to completely understand the workings of the ranking system. On occasion, I'll unexpectedly see increases in my points and other times, I'll see unexpected decreases. Sometimes those point changes are reflected by a ranking change and other times they're not. Sorry I can't be more help on this.
Thank you Bob. I've wondered about this too, but I enjoy interacting with the community to improve my rank. It's like a game for me.
