Writing with a buzz? Yes, no, maybe so?
This is a writing exercise about writing whilst buzzing
Today my friend Mike came by and invited me to lunch which turned into, we still need to find another place to play pool, type of day. You know what I mean??
If you don't then allow me to elaborate.
Mikey Is my pool playing buddy.( his skill surpasses my own at this point in time. ) And we need to find a new bar to hang out at because in Texas or perhaps San Antonio only, they have passed a law forbidding smoking in bars. IN BARS!!! Can you believe it??!! As a result we need to find a bar that possesses the following criteria:
- Inexpensive beer ( he buys most of the time. I drink most of it )
- Outside the city limits ( no ordinance about smoking ) He doesn't care about the smoking. He doesn't smoke
- A bar with a patio area containing chairs, tables, ashtrays ( San Antonio city ordinance )
- Pool tables in good condition ( He checks ) A Must Have.
- Diane, his wife needs to like it. ( She doesn't smoke either Except with me sometimes )
If these conditions are not met, there will be no serious consideration for this to be our new home away from home. Off we went. I don't need to inform him of the criteria as he is already aware of the specifics we require.
The first bar we went to was our current hangout zone. No smoking area. We left after one drink and one shot ( The shot was for me only. Jaeger. It was not ice cold. ) -
We left this place to seek out another that my brother recommended but I couldn't remember the name of it We ended up at a place called the Recovery Room, Which used to be a place called the Cove. The drinks were reasonably priced. and the investigation began.Mikey spent all his money ,then I spent all of mine. ( Maybe $40 ) They also had all the other listed requirements:

Then we came home. Can you tell if I'm buzzed just by reading my writing?? Cause I gotta tell ya, I have a really good buzz on right now. But I am having a good time writing

Love the "he buys most I drink most"... well I guess you can write under both conditions and compare later. Or maybe a combo, write in one mode and then proof and finalize in the other mode. You might have happened upon a trade secret writing method for you (and maybe then the bar expenses would be tax deductible!)...
Sounds like a good finding to me. If Texas wasn't so far (I live in Puerto Rico) I would definitely go there to play pool. Here, you can't smoke in any public place at all. You have designated places here and there, but they are all in the open. Needles to say I don't play pool or go to casinos any more. At least you still got some options within driving distance.
Sounds like a complicated trick to pull an evening off! I used to live down in Three Rivers, then Corpus, so am very familiar with San Antonio (at least the main arteries thereof, as my daughter's neurologist was there). If you can write this well while buzzed, then you are definitely a pro :) Best of luck finding more places :)

I like it when I can make someone laugh. I used to work for a guy who hardly ever smiled. So serious this guy. So I made it an everyday goal to make him laugh really good at least once a day. He enjoyed his laughs when he did get them and it was fun to watch.Stay tuned maybe I can do it again!!
