Comment Section at WA

I've been away for awhile and am just now starting to get back into the swing of things. One of the things I've been doing is offering up comments to those who have requested such in this section

Like some of you, I receive notifications in my email when something of interest to me pops up. Today, I decided to spend some time on this. I received like, seven emails last night and this morning. I dutifully read the articles offered and thoughtfully responded to these articles in the comment section. What could go wrong? Right?

How It Went Wrong

I clicked on the link in my first email and of course it took me to the page with the article subjected for my perusal. I read the article, offered my comment and the response I received was this: "The website you are trying to comment on, could not be found meanwhile, here is another one for you to read"(or something to that effect) So I thought to myself, 'hmmmmm. No big deal, I'll just move on to the next one.'

The next one did the exact same thing. Moving on, I managed to go through all of them. <Sigggghhhhh> They pretty much all did the same thing. and to top it all off, the last one sent me . I had been to before. A website non-locatable.

A Bit Miffed, A little Irked...

...and thoroughly frustrated. So I say again, What's up with the comment section @ WA?

This happened to me. But, I think it was because I opened the site, waited a while to respond, and by the time I did, the requestor had already reached their comment request quota.. That's an assumption. But I haven't encountered any other issues.

Hi Paulette,

I'll have a look into the SiteComments platform to see what might be going on. Perhaps the user moved their website to a different domain name and the SiteComment request went to the old one. Either way, this is a situation we have not heard before so our team will have a look into it.

Carson

EDIT: The SiteComment platform is working as expected - I think that you may have run into a site that was deleted or moved because there are sites that require comments in the system as of now.

Thanks Bro!!

Hi - the comments are snatched up pretty quickly.

By the time as you read the email and click the link, somebody else will have taken that particular post.

It is better to go direct to the Site Comments area rather than waiting for emails.

There has been a major update and kyle and his team are working out the bugs. I say report it. Like for the most part a lot of us have not been able to comment on each others personal blogs. Like the platform will show the blog with one or two comments on it but the count would be as hi as 15. but you are only allowed to see two. report it here in the bug thread kyle made.

Thank you for posting the bugs link! 😊
