I was listening to a couple of podcasts today and as I was writing in my journal, thought it might be worth a share here to see if anyone else gets caught in this trap.
I often chase the perfect end result, there’s a simple truth that tends to get overlooked: Progress is almost always better than perfection. If I wait around for things to be perfect, I might never get off the starting block. Instead, each step forward, no matter how small, is a win. It’s about building momentum and learning as we go, rather than stalling out waiting for the perfect moment.
So go ahead and enjoy the process over the pristine. In other words: it’s not about getting it perfect the first time, it’s about getting it going and refining along the way.

So, let’s not wait until January or any other arbitrary milestone to get going. The beauty of focusing on progress is that it invites us to start right now, not at some perfect time in the future.
