I LOVE Mondays! Here's why:
Most people HATE Mondays. We've been conditioned to hate it. Bob Geldof asks us to "tell him why we don't like Mondays??"............. The Bangles sing about Monday being "Manic" and we have done such a great job at labeling Friday the best day of the week, that it's only natural for Monday to then be called the worst!
I too hated Mondays, spent most of my Sunday thinking about the week ahead, only making my 'new week' start early. Then I decided to make the change and use Monday as a way to propel me to more success and even more happiness. I truly believe that Monday should be a day to get excited and relish the opportunity put in front of you.
Monday is the birth of a new week, your opportunity to start fresh, leave all the crap and stress of last week behind and forge forward with new goals and ambitions. I love Mondays because my son goes back to school, my husband goes to work and I get to go to my office, blast the stereo with MY music while I plan my week's to do list!!
I love how my diary looks on a Monday morning, so clean, fresh, no scribbles on it - yet! I am very fortunate that I have found a true passion around the work that I do.. that really helps in loving Monday that little bit more BUT there is still hope for those of you who might not feel as lucky as me and consider going back to work on Monday a drain. A lot of people have Mondays off now too and their work week commences on a Tuesday, so how do you think they feel about Monday? Maybe it's 'Terrible Tuesday' for them? Nah! Regardless of whether your work week commences on Monday or not, it should still be celebrated as a day of renewal.
So let's prove Geldof, the Bangles and EVERYONE wrong and start living like Monday is the new Friday! It's just a shift in our mindset and I know you can all do that?! I wanna hear you say TGIM from now on and know that the more Mondays you embrace, the more productive and happy you will be in any line of work or anything you do that day.
So let's get those websites created, blogs written and goals smashed. That for me is a successful and productive Monday! And for those of us who have children in school where Monday is the first day of their week, let's start instilling into them now to love, embrace and completely appreciate Monday for what it really is - before we know it we will be hearing songs about "Marvelous Monday", instead of "Manic Monday" and we'll be trying to find the answer to "Tell me why I so LOVE Mondays?" Imagine what a wonderful world that would be...
So to all HAPPY MONDAY and bring on TERRIFIC TUESDAY tomorrow!!!!!

I turned Monday into a much happier day. I run my own offline business and I decided to make Monday an easy day where I do less work. It's made a huge difference to my life.

How good is it working our own hours?! I generally only do a half day Monday too and it is mainly made up of planning for the week ahead. Keep up the great work and thanks for all your support here on WA 😊

Great post. you are so right, it is all about mindset and perception. My Husband starts dreading Monday, hallway through Sunday and then it wastes half of the day. I understand why he does it, he hates his job, but if you allow your mind to start this dreading, the job you hate starts to seep into the non working days.
My Daughter has Fabulous Friday at school and the only reason it is 'Fabulous', is that they get to take a treat instead of a healthy snack. A mere change of snack makes Friday Fabulous apparently lol.
So yes, as you advise lets make each day Marvellous, terrific, wonderful, tremendous and fabulous. : )

It's not always easy to keep a positive mindset, but we have to do the best we can everyday of the week.

Lunchtime here in the Uk, and I am just about to go back out to work, doing a teddy bears picnic for a bunch of 4 and 5 year olds! 'The sun is shining and the butterflies are flying' (part of the script lol)

I am a class teacher/actor,(self employed) so it was me running the teddy bears picnic, which is songs and story and rhymes! It was brilliant! Have a wonderful weekend 🎉🎈🦋🙏🏻
Ohhh.. sorry! I have a friend here in Oz who does something similar. She contracts to a children's entertainment company and they run workshops for kids around rhymes, singing and once a year they hold a teddy bears picnic! 🤗

We do have a lot in common then, as I teach singing to children and adults and I'm an avid Musical Theatre/Drama performer! My most recent show was an adults only Burlesque/Cabaret style with only female performers. Definitely out of my comfort zone for that one!! Lol 😉
