Update and a great philosophy tip!
Some of you may have heard of Jim Rohn.
I think this very true! So many people in business, and so many businesses just focus on profit and just not enough on providing a good service and value
Earlier today I watched a video about Amazon's way of doing things and let me tell you this, They have been around for 19 years now so if there is 1 company you should model to..it's them!
Long term thinking
Look at some of there own brands. To keep it short... they are actually selling some products at a loss. This hurts them in the short term BUT
In the long run customers kept coming back for more products. Their customers are LOYAL and that is what you want, the profit will follow after that.
I'm going to try this when I start a webshop (Soon, I'm going to join Amway)
Let's say in theory you run a website and you store is selling coffee mugs and your profit on a mug is (for examples sake) 40%
You can keep the profit OR reïnvest in your business on your service.
But how? Well I think that when people order often or for a certain amount you should really give them a little extra, and I'm not talking about a free e-book. This is especially powerfull when promoting your business locally. Surprise people! Bring their order to them for free or let them pick something extra.
I'm sure this WILL pay of in the long term.
Also I recommend watching this 4 hour seminar (sorry for the poor quality, but what he says is STILL VALID now, this was in the 80's ( I think)
Jim rohn's talk about the best life ever
