I'm just curious how long it takes for it to start increasing in your site details. Mines still at ZERO after just over three weeks.

This might help

My site is 2 months old and my site trust is 10%....all of my other stats are near 100% and I have lots of content and feedback....Does it just want you to have your site up for at least 6 months or something?

Click on VIEW and you can see how to improve.
There are many factors, contributing to the percentage.

Before getting 10%, the site must be ATLEAST one month old.

Paul, you have interesting and useful information on your alcohol recovery website, well done. A few suggestions:

1. It's not a good idea to put the WA banner with an affiliate link in the header, especially if the banner has nothing to do with your niche topic. Affiliate links above the fold tend to reduce rankings and may lower trust.

Perhaps you can add a post that discusses the financial downside of the cost of alcohol related problems and the need to have focus on "building something positive that will also add income" and then explain how you have found that with WA. In that post you can place the WA banner

2. You have created a page for Product Reviews. This really should be a "category" and be part of the blogroll.

Consider placing the Amazon product images on the right side of the screen and the text wrapping on the left side, without that empty white space.

3. There are social media buttons with each excerpt on the blogroll. People usually share a post after reading it, so the share button at the top or bottom of the full single post page should be sufficient. Check to see if the social plugin and/or theme allows you to display the button on the full single post instead of with each excerpt.

4. The navigation menu at the top of the site is repeated in the left column. It is unnecessary to have it in both places. Choose one or the other. I suggest placing a custom menu in the left column, with links pointing to blogroll categories, such as your reviews.

The above are all minor tweaks. I really like your site and the valuable information can help many people. Keep it up. ~Jude

As mentioned Paul, your site is new, just keep adding content, writing articles and adding useful information! I try and not look at stats to much in the early stages, focus on adding valuable information, I hope that this helps!

dkendall is correct ... and don't forget to add the age of the site to this list. The older the site, the higher the ranking for trust. However, age in and of itself is not a catalyst ... everything needs to be taken together. Hope this helps and God Bless! ~Cathy

Thanks for this question. I'm almost at the point where I would have been asking exactly that question.

If you like I can look at your page and write a comment. Just give me the name of the site.

Hi Paul, it takes some time to gain trust. The more content, rankings & feed back to your website will help with site trust a lot. Hope this helps.

Great thanks - I'll have to be patient - My New Years Resolution !!

Should we get the SEO on our website configured professionally.
As SEO is such a critical and complex subject. Should we at least get it check over.
There are some Gigs on Fi

I think that SEO is something that WE complicate because we think it supposed to be complicated. It isn't. If you create content the way we are taught here, SEO comes naturally. At least that has been my experience.

I could recommend someone I used if you like?

Who could I speak with for assistance in configuring SEO?

By you writing engaging content on your site and lots of great information that is your SEO. Keywords and great content

Yes, I think that it should be Configured again just to make sure that it has been done!

My WA affiliate link on my website isn't clickable....

The code I inserted is as follows:-

<?php if (has_nav_menu('topbar')): ?>

<a href="http://www.w

Hi Ian,
Finally got is sorted. Wierd one..
In CSS - I needed to make the float "absolute" (not right) then give it a Z-score of 10 and then give it a left margin of 910 - and voilla.
Thanks for helping me out on this. Much appreciate.
Paul

Code itself for your banner and the link is OK. I just tried it and that code produces a clickable banner. Don't need the final / after "right" - it also works without it.

But I'd put it outside the two lines
<?php if (has_nav_menu('topbar')): ?>

I tried that but it still the same - I should be able to click on it from within my environment?

The ad & link code is correct.

Cut & paste that into a new blank post, open in a browser, and you'll find you can click on it OK.

So I'm pretty sure it's down to where it is in the header.

Try placing it immediately after <head> tag and see if it works. It should, unless there's something in the theme that's stopping it from being clickable.

I put it after the <head> tag and it didn't even appear. I think I might change my theme or put the banner somewhere else. Or I might just leave it out altogether.
Thanks for all your help anyway.
Best Regards
Paul
