Amazon Affiliate Approval: What You Need Before Applying
Amazon Affiliate Approval: What You Need Before Applying
Getting approved as an Amazon affiliate is easy if you know what they’re looking for. Many beginners rush in, only to get rejected because their site isn’t ready. Let’s make sure that doesn’t happen to you.
Requirement 1: A Place to Share Links
Amazon wants you to have at least one platform:
- A blog or website with content
- A YouTube channel with original videos
- A mobile app
- A social media profile (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, etc.)
Requirement 2: Original Content
Your platform should have enough content to show you’re serious.
For a blog: at least 10–15 posts with useful information.
For YouTube: at least 5–10 videos.
Requirement 3: Traffic Potential
You don’t need thousands of visitors yet, but Amazon wants to see that your platform is active and can grow.
Requirement 4: Acceptable Topics
- Avoid promoting:
- Adult content
- Violence
- Anything illegal
- Copyright-infringing content
Requirement 5: Compliance
You must follow Amazon’s rules:
- Don’t use affiliate links in offline promotions or printed material.
- Don’t send affiliate links directly in emails.
Pro Tip: Even after approval, you have 180 days to make 3 sales. If you fail, your account will be closed, but you can reapply later.

That's great John.
How is your experience with X contrasting traffics and sales. No doubt about traffic.
Paul.
I promote once in a while on X. My campaign now has been the best in terms of eyes seeing the ad. Close to 30,000 but no sales yet.
But if you want to get eyes on your blog, X is good.
Ablolutely agreeing with you. I was once very active aiming to get into the monetization program of X., I met all the requirements however I was not accepted into the program. I became inactive again., For traffic, X is a great place.
Paul.
There are no requirements except that you have to be verified. You need the blue check mark. After that post something, hit the white promote button on the upper right hand side.
Pick your country or state, age range and how many days. And you daily budget.do 20 bucks if you want.
It's much easier than Fakebook.
