BE AWARE! Calling ALL Amazon Associates and Newbies!

Here's another Amazon Alert!

I just received an email yesterday from Amazon Associates, informing all affiliates of a new change that is taking place IMMEDIATELY!!!!

So, please take note.

Here's a copy of what they had to say:

Dear Amazon Associate,

We are writing to notify you about a change to our policy regarding applicants to the Amazon Associates program. Effective immediately, applicants have 180 days, starting from when you applied to the program, to refer three or more qualified sales before being reviewed for acceptance to the program. You can read more about this policy change on Associates Central. There are many ways to increase referrals and advertising fees you earn through the Associates Program, including:

• Make your existing links more prominent or visible to site visitors.

• Include links to additional products or product variants.

• Link to Amazon products from your home page.

• Increase traffic to your website using search engine optimizations, social media, and other advertising methods.

We hope that you’re able to take advantage of this opportunity, and we look forward to seeing you again soon.

It's crazy... Three? Just to be accepted? OK.

Kind of a bummer for those who haven't even made the original "ONE" referral that was needed.

There are a lot of small but HUGELY IMPORTANT details that everyone should know, so before signing up for Amazon, you need to make sure you're clear on their rules, or you may not get paid! Details about this will come in a future post; as I get time to set aside and write.
