What will the future hold
What does the future hold?
Society throughout the ages has had to adapt to changes, whether they be the outcome of Nero’s burning of Rome, plagues, natural disasters and world wars.
There are often very positive outcomes after these events, albeit at the cost of tragic loss of life.
Japan emerged from a virtually feudal society to a modern powerhouse after the second world war.
There are many opinions on the necessity of dropping the bomb, ranging from horror and disgust, prompting Oppenheimer's “and now I have become death” statement; to a notion that this was a necessary step, and the only manner in which to curb the Japanese expansion and their desire to dominate the world. This is only one example as I am not about to write the history of the world.
Let us reflect on the positive effects that the corona virus has already and possibly will have for the future, despite as I have already mentioned, the tragedy, sadness and uncertainty that it has already cast upon us all in every walk of life. My sincere condolence to any of The WA family that have lost loved ones.
Dearest to my own heart is that the pandemic has given the planet as well as animals a brief respite.
Touching are the newsreels of animals venturing from the forest into deserted urban areas, delighting in the discovery of territory that, after all, once belonged to them. The relentless slaughter has already been somewhat lessened, at least for a while.
I doubt whether it is too much to hope that in the coming centuries, animals will regain their rightful place and the rain forests be allowed to regenerate and recover from the extensive abuse that humans are inflicting.
I do believe that perhaps, this not entirely new lesson that has been imposed upon as, will have the effect of re-establishing family values and increased human empathy. Families may actually sit down at the dinner table together, as was imperative in my youth.
Unfortunately for myself as a chef, we will see a distinct downturn in people eating out, but rather opting to cook at home. The flip side is that takeaway and home delivery may see an unprecedented boom.Who knows Mac Donald’s may get even richer if this is possible!
Sure folks will still venture out for the occasional restaurant treat but the infrequency of this will see many dining establishments fall by the wayside. Effects on the travel and hotel industry will be devastating yet in their place, we may see a simpler and less hedonistic lifestyle and with it, less stress of the former fast paced existence. Human ingenuity will be tested to come up with new creative opportunities in these endangered sectors.
So there are distinct ying and yangs for the future and we should all look to capitalize on the positive opportunities. To take a small example; home gym and exercise equipment niche is likely to change gear. Restaurant niches may have to go to the trash bin.
Have you noticed the incredible increase the promotion and soliciting WA type programs?
The obvious draw card being the “work from home” concept. Whilst on the surface this would appear to be a rock solid niche, there are some, often unseen, dark shadows, such as the way in which the pandemic may affect the supply chain, endemic in a vast number of affiliate niches.
So many of us may have to seriously analyze their current niches in a proactive manner and not just hope for the best!
Of course there will always be the scum taking advantage with phishing schemes, looting and the likes.

Very true words you've written, Patrick, but the fact remains is that we will only know when we get there, and yet there's the crux, we never will because it is always the future--therefore we must live and adapt to the ever-changing "NOW"
Jeff
I think the future is BRIGHT! It is what you make of it.
Fortunately, I have not been hit with personal loss during this worldwide pandemic. I am sure I know people that have lost loved ones. At this time, I don't personally know anyone that has tested positive for COVID-19.
Our Governor has started opening things back up. There are some that are raging on him for ths decision and others that are happy to get back to work.
Seeing scams in any situation is bad. I hate that people are trying to use this time to scam people out of money which is pretty tight for most everyone out there.
The WA program is a great way to learn to earn from home away from the J.O.B. It will hard to replace a paycheck in the short term, but could easily give you the option to quit your job and not be reliant on an employer for your expenses.
