Not that lonely!

I recently read a blog about pros and cons of WA ranking.
This is my personal take on it:
We all have different personal circumstances .
Mine; I am in the hospitality trade. Who knows what the future holds?
I had to make plan B. "work from home" just in case.

As you all have might have discovered, one cannot even watch a movie on YouTube without being bombarded with ads for affiliate marketing schemes. They too see a widening gap and many promise overnight riches.
I was lucky, stumbled upon WA and could not be happier.

I think that the concept of internal ranking is excellent. More senior members helping others with their superior experience and so forth.
But it's also, kind of like the more you blog, the more you help, the higher you go.

If this forum provides members with a kind of social family group, well that's fine.
We all need some kind of family to share our thoughts, concerns and hopes.
It seems though that some might take this route only to gain popularity.

For me, and once again this is personal, I have no desire to gain any popularity contest.
I do respond to some blogs that I think have relevance for me (and many are), but I do think that if I spend valuable time on submitting blog content of the "Hi family, my cats woke me up this morning with excessive meowing" type, just to further my ranking position, I feel that I would be heading in a time-wasting direction,

I am spending 10 hours per day on writing content. Some blogs take me a whole day or more.
Whatever I am promoting or writing about is original and is always based on my own personal experience.

I am lucky enough to have over 250 of my thousands of FB friends within my own niche so I am cultivating a business FB page as well as my own FB group.

One day after launching my FB page group, and obviously inviting all of my niche contacts to join, 60% joined so far and a further 60 or so strangers requested to join. These are people that I do not even know!

So this is how I feel is a more constructive way to build my future.
Sadly to say, climbing the list of WA rankings is at the very bottom of my personal to do list

I have helped people all my life. I will certainly contribute every effort if in the future, should arrive at a successful business position through WA, to contribute to the community. But not to gain any brownie points.
Now I have nothing to offer so I am "making my own hay while the sun shines"

Lord Krisha put it this way "work for the love of work and not for the fruits thereof"
My dad was a bit more cynical;
When I said "dad but you have to take a side" he replied "but I do my son, I am on my side"
Seems that I am destined to remain at rank 32,194.

Have a good day all

Great post, Patrick! I'm glad it all works out for you, my friend!

Enjoy your weekend!

Jeff

I think some members here get a tough time because they are seen to rise through the WA ranks.

If there are members who do it just for popularity and neglect their own business in doing so then they are the ones to lose out.

I am one of those who's has gone from 183184 on 11th April to 63 today 8th May.

This has purely happened because of lockdown here in the UK. I cannot go out to my offline business so decided it would be wise to spend this time on my online efforts.

When lockdown is lifted I will be spending 10 hrs a day out with customers delivering a service to them so my rank will probably drop like a stone in just a few weeks.

Will I be upset, of course not. Ranking here for me s happened naturally and it will fall naturally too.

Do not get hung up on ranking , work your business and let ranking happen, its makes no difference at the end of the day.

Andy.

You will move up the ladder. This is for sure if you remain active. :)

LoL not sure that your are destined to stay there at all.

You will, if you are helping others on a regular basis, rise slowly but inexorably to higher ranks.

Maybe not the top 200 but who cares, if you don’t care then that is all that matters quite honestly.🧐

To me, it sounds like you are doing great! Very cool about the FB community you are creating. I would also agree that for a while, my rank didn't really matter, and I still don't think it matters to me. I like seeing what others are doing and their success stories. And helping others is what I'm all about (and many in this community). But, for me, it doesn't pay the bills.

Keep doing what you are doing, and I think you will succeed. Good luck!

Now your'e thinking straight,
After all this is not Dr. Phill
Thanks for comment and all the best

Haha, that made me laugh out loud.
