What Can You Learn From Quotes About Target Markets?
What can you learn from reading a quote? Most of us can identify with the writer of the quote either positively or negatively, politically, socially, or intellectually. Right? Does you identifying with what is written in the quote help you to learn? So what can you learn from quotes about target markets? Well…
As a newbie (or an oldie coming from another company), learning to become a successful entrepreneur is hard and time consuming, but doable. I realize that each of you have come to Wealthy Affiliate with a broad range of prior knowledge, skills, beliefs, and concepts that significantly influence what you will understand and what you will learn from your training. One of the things I used to teach my students is to identify their prior knowledge; because new knowledge is built on existing knowledge. I helped them accomplish this by asking questions that would relate to their experiences. I could find out what they knew about the new stuff and how well they knew it.
The same is true for a newbie (or oldies coming from another company) in our business at Wealthy Affiliate; when planning and learning from their training.
For example: To teach an inner city kid about life on a farm. You would first have to make a connection between life in the inner city and life on a farm. You would do this by asking questions. i.e. What do you do to take care of your home in the city? How do you think it would be different if you lived on a farm? How would you take care of your home on a farm?
So it is wonderful to know that our training starts with the newbie (or oldies coming from another company) writing a business plan. It starts with you talking to a welcoming person. Then talking to a coach/or the community about your income and lifestyle dreams and expectations and many other problems.
Also, you are asked to explore the ‘for what or for whom’ you want these dreams to become a reality. i.e Perhaps you are a dad who would love to spend more time with your children, but you have to work all the time now-sometimes up to 60-70 hours a week.
So what can you learn from quotes about target markets? These quotes will give you an idea of what others are thinking about, how they are feeling and exactly what they are doing, when it comes to learning new knowledge which is built on existing knowledge.
“To be successful and grow your business and revenues, you must match the way you market your products with the way your prospects learn about and shop for your products.” – Brian Halligan
“Everyone is not your customer” – Seth Godin
“If your target audience isn’t listening, it’s not their fault, it’s yours.” – Seth Godin
“Content marketing isn’t just about adding more content; it’s about crating information for a target audience that has a particular purpose and intended outcome.” Lee Odden
“The aim of marketing is to know and understand the customer so well, the product or service fits them and sells itself.” – Peter F. Drucker
“Figure out who your target audience is and see where they interact online.” – Melonie Dodaro
Are you still asking yourself what you can learn from a quote about target markets …or are you writing your own quotes as you make your way to becoming successful here at Wealth Affiliate? I vote for the latter.

Outstanding Pat. I have been doing this for over a decade..... I'm STILL learning! And, I live by the rule, there is always someone that knows more (and even more that know something you don't). Tap your resources. Discover new things and get the creative juices flowing.... my own wee quote: "Build it and they will come!"
