I have added a WA banner to pages in my website but when clicked on it does not open in a new tab. Is there a way to change that?
Hello there,
Sounds strange, did you
download the banners and create your own code?
or, you used the direct link?
or , you used the HTML code provided here?
If you added the HTML code in a widget on your website, select the "open in a new window",
Personally, I never faced any problems with WA banners

Gus, I think you are more on target with my initial action. I selected a WA banner and copied the HTML code to create a widget using the "Custom HTML" listed in the left column of the Appearance/Widget page. I do not see an option to open in a new tab. What am I missing?
This is not hard to do....You will see in the top of the WYSIWYG page builder a bunch of tabs...Click on the image on the page you want to link, then click on the chain icon...
A window will open up by the banner and you can add a link to wherever you want to send people to...You may want to also click on the settings icon in that window and click on 'open in a new window' - that will mean that when they click on the banner, a new tab will open for the linked site...
Here is some training on this to clarify more: Adding Links to Images Cheers and have fun!

Dave, you lost me at the "WYSIWYG" page! LOL Tell me where that is and I think I can go from there based on your instructions.
Oooops, sorry...That is the page that you come to when you want to either create a new post or page. It is an acronym for What You See Is What You Get"
Literally what you type in the visual sections of the editing areas (i.e. Title, Body) is what will appear on your page when published...
Sounds like a mouthful but really is just another overused acronym these days maybe hehe...
It does bring up another question...Is the banner you uploaded an image only or did you grab the code (that would also be embedded with your affiliate ID)?
If you grab the banner using an embed code and want to embed it into the page, you would switch from the visual mode to the text mode (tab at the top of the WYSIWYG editing area)...
There you can add in the embed code where you want it to appear and it will then appear also on the visual tab...It all sounds complicated but really is easy once you have done it once or twice...
This is like learning a new language. I remember well the first time I looked at the dashboard and back end of a WordPress website. It was like: "What the heck..."
Over time though, it becomes like a favorite spot (well maybe not FAVORITE hehe) but it does get easier to navigate and get things done you want to get done...
Best of luck and have fun!!

Getting wa banner to open in new tab?
I have added a WA banner to pages in my website but when clicked on it does not open in a new tab. Is there a way to change that?
It seems you did not get an answer. In fact the matter is not trivial because this is not about images, this is about the code; but the solution should be easy, please see this training: How to Open an Affiliate Banner In a New Window
This did it! Thanks so much. You were correct: my problem was in not knowing that I needed to modify the HTML embed code for the WA banner I wanted to use. Thanks again.

I have someone interested in joining WA but not sure how to have them do this such that I get credit for the introduction. I have not gone through Affiliate Bootcamp as my fir
Path, one of the really cool things you can do that you may not know is you can personalize your referral link landing page. Here's a training showing you how to do it: http://bit.ly/custom-wa-homepage Which allow you to speak directly to your referrals as you... Way cool.
If you click on the (airplane ) at top of the page, to get your links for WA, You then promote that link to get credit for anyone who clicks on your affiliate link. You can also create a special link as well
Start in the upper left of this page in the green Certification box.
The lessons start there and forms the main part of this website.
Just email them your referral link, click on the black and white aeroplane icon at the top and then links and tracking. :)
