Being in the Comfort Zone is not Being Most Creative

Going though Facebook posts quickly this morning I came across a video of David Bowie. I played it over and over it was so on point. Simply said, he described what he thought of the role of each artist. Never make what you do about other people. Don't play to the gallery. That you need to fulfill your own expectations not other people's.

He also suggested that we are at our most creative when we feel not quite safe,out of our depth. Like the point when, in the water, your feet can't quite touch the bottom. When you are a bit out of your depth is just about the point when you are about to do something exciting.
