Fitness Exercise For More Energy and Stamina

The last couple of days I've been back to doing my Yoga in the morning before breakfast. I'd skipped it for a week prior. So even in this relatively cold weather I've had the stamina to be productive with my blog and the WA training throughout the day without pushing myself or anything!

When I was youger it was all aerobics, treadmills and a bit of weights and it used to be very tiring. But lately with my age (not young, not too old yet), I've been doing a lot more yoga. Not the impossible streches you see in magazines, but just something that streches the spine and breathing routines.

I signed up at the Krishnamachariya Yoga Mandiram where they have a personalized instructor who customizes the program for each person. And the cost is very reasonable. It's a world-renowned place of Yoga, many people from all around the world come here for either themselves or to become Yoga instructors.

Yoga/ fitness = Greater productivity

What I like about yoga is that I can do the same exercises for the next 50 years, it is as applicable for youngsters as it is for someone in their 90's. It brings the body into natural harmony...

So my WA family, I would just like to say:

Stay Fit To Stay Productive

Health is a key element to a great journey
Thanks
Tim

Yes Tim, so very true!

I am not fond of yoga, I rather choose tai chi! Yoga comes from a sinister beginning. But I am just telling what I learned I hope I'm wrong!

Yes what works for each of us is fine Florentino! It's our life and our preferences and we're all here to live life on our own terms:)) But I couldn't help sharing my very recent love for Yoga as it refreshes me.

I'm going more by how it makes me feel than anything else. Popular media can often be faulty, anything for the benefit of mankind only has noble beginnings!

I respect and happy for you. Mine is an admonition (check this keyword: Dark Side of Yoga) rather than anything else. I wish you the very best success in your endeavor. I would be glad to be of help anytime.

I checked the keyword and think you're referring to the Ashtanga Yoga where they perform all sort of feats which can be prone to injuries if not taught and learnt responsibly! I'm also not a fan of Ashtanga Yoga!

What works for me is the Ayurvedic form of Yoga which is carefully tailored for each individual for their specific bodily characteristics, and is easy and totally pain-free, just simple stretching.

Thank you for caring and sharing this :))

Thank you as well for giving due diligence on your passion. Ayurvedic medicine is very popular. I guess you could make it
your niche because you are really passionate about it!

What is Ayuverdic yoga?

I don't think it is a term in itself but there is an article on huffpost which calls it the connection between Yoga and Ayurveda. In Ayurveda, each person is a combination of body types of Kapha (cold), Pitta(fire) and Vatta (air), where one of those is more predominant but the others may or may not exist to a lesser degree as well in the same individual.

When I went to the Krishnamacharya Yoga Mandiram in chennai, I was first called for a 1 hour discussion on my diet and lifestyle habits. After this, my next few sessions were based on the results from the discussion to prescribe yoga postures that are suitable for me. Then the next 3 sessions were about fine-tuning those and choosing alternate postures if any of them caused pain or discomfort.

So I guess you could call Ayurvedic Yoga as the customization of the yogic postures to suit the individual's body type, nature, lifestyle and their overall fitness goal.

Perhaps this is a good niche for me as well, thank you for suggesting it sir!

I am delighted! I shall read it as you catch my interest in the Ayuverdic Yoga. Learning is power.

Yoga is great for the soul.

Yes Jeff, I feel the same!

Here's to everyone's health!

Jeff

May we all be healthy, happy and prosperous :))

I agree completely with you, Padma!

Jeff
