Been trying for three days to work out how to transfer a site hosting to WA ...no luck!

I have given it a miss...just easier to call aGodaddy and pay for the hosting otherwise I would lose more valuable hours...alls well

Dom thank you for yr response...I need you sitting on my shoulder for the Odyssey ahead...I appreciate your attention.
Regards Issac

Where is the site currently hosted?

With Host for Web Inc

If you have cpanel access or at the very least FTP access, I could help walk you through it.

I don't know because I start from here
but I found this may be help

Here is a training how to connect

I DONT UNDERSTAND WHY I SEEM TO BE MEETING A BRICK WALL.
HOW DO I OBTAIN APPROPRIATE SUPPORT RATHER THAN COMMUNITY INPUT FROM WA?

All that does is embroil me further as I just get community responses...but thank you for that...

1.How do I transfer a site purchased from Falippa to WA?
2.What info do I need to obtain from vendor and what info do I need to give vendor to put this into effect?
3.Is

My messages are disappearing...

Three days and hours wasted.
Who needs this aggravation.
I am sure there is an easy way to secure site support but they have cloaked it...
The effort and energy were wasted.
I will get it hosted elsewhere.
It is really disappointing as I had grown accustomed to more.

I did mine from name.com and pretty much is the same as this video I hope it works for you too.

Take care

Marcelo

If you go to SiteRubix to register a domain, you get the choice to transfer a domain you already own.
Then you will see what info you need to obtain and fill in. Your current host should have ways to access that info and how to correctly inform them about domain transfer. This is usually done by clicking boxes in a form.
After that, you need to manually rebuild your website at the new location. It can also be done by backing up the website and reinstalling it, but that requires work too. You can google some knowledge in transferring websites.

Your info is really spot on helpful.I appreciate it...come on over and sit on my shoulder...it would make life easier...Thanks

If you use the link Jude is providing below, it is true that when you start writing a question to site support, a lot of suggestions comes up about similar topics. That is to make sure the question has not already been asked before and that way you could find the answer right away.

But if you click "close down auto suggestion" (it is called something similar to that), you can write site support directly, and they will answer you individually with issues that are more technical. And usually site support are very good and fast at answering.

Hope that helps.

Mikael

No response?

I've been offline a few months and just saw this. Did you get it sorted? If your current website is a Wordpress site, it's a very simple transition. Let me know if you still need assistance.

This is just not working for me...

I appreciate your attention...but it seems futile...all that happens is that I am posing the identical question and it ends up awaiting the goodwill and attention of the 'community'..which is not a precise reliable way to resolve an issue...any clarification or direction would be of assistance.Regards and my sincere thanks

Transferring a domain name is different from transferring a website. If it is a WordPress website with content on it, then ask WA Site Support to help you move it here.

i suggest you put in a Site Support ticket, ask them the same question, and they will help you with the process.

The site is not particularly my passion but the idea is to get into the thick of it and take practical steps on my march to I/T success.
I need assistance as to steps to tak

Hello Issac. I am not able to assist with your questions at this time. I would suggest that you contact - site support - and pose your questions there. You should have some help pretty soon, as they are on 24/7 to help members.
You can also ask some questions in the WA chat area.

https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/websites/support

Hope this helps you with your answers.

Marcel..

1. Yes, WA can host your site. All you need to do is update the DNS nameserver.

2. See #1

3. If you mean becoming an affiliate for ALIEXPRESS, just scroll down to the bottom of their site and find AFFILIATE, or something to that nature. They will tell you everything that you need to do to sign up as an affiliate, then you will get your link.

4. Consider following the WA training

Hope that helps
