Yikes! I’ve Got An Upcoming Video Interview!
Hi everyone,
I’ve hardly been around for the last three months since the birth of my third daughter. Life has certainly been busy for me.
But I’ve been keeping tabs on my revenue streams and traffic. Even though I haven’t worked on my site for 2 months I’m getting a slight increase in visitors and money coming in.
An unexpected opportunity!
Recently I got an email from someone asking to do a video or telephone interview. The person who has contacted me has created a new business website and wants to focus on genealogy for one subject, and they chose me. They found me by my twitter account.
A video interview will work best for me. I’m in the middle of arranging a date, suitable for when my kids aren’t at home and I can focus on the interview. Anyone with kids will know what I mean.
Anyway this is the first time I’ve done anything like this so I’m a bit scared how this will go.
I know it will give my site some much needed exposure but I know what make sure I give a good presentation for me and my site.
Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

I feel like I need to brush up a bit on my subject as I have been away for a while. Just need to go through my site and read what I have written.
Obviously I have been contacted as I have been seen as an authority figure in my field.
Also, I feel like I will speak from the heart and that will come across as genuine. But that is only if the interview makes me feel at ease and then speaking to them will come naturally.
I will let you know how I go.

Be honest , transparent. As for fear. the number reason for fear especially public speaking is knowledge. I suggest you get a piece of paper. draw a circle in the middle write your niche inside it.
Draw 10 lines from that middle circle and think about related things. eg blog, visitors, why you building etc. then from each of those expand further. this is a mind map will give you a visual of your business.

I was thinking that I would talk about why people do research their family history, and what resources are available.
