10 Days in
Hey guys just wanted to one, keep myself updated with my progress, but also jot down a few things I've noticed I catch myself doing.
So it's been 10 Days since I joined and here's a list of things I've accomplished:
- Been through Course 1 and on lesson 7 of Course 2
- Learned WordPress...still learning
- Created a niche website under my own domain name Caraudiohelp.org
- Found out real quick there's lots of competition in this niche and getting ranked, so the low hanging fruit lesson came at the perfect time
- Rank after day one: 55,898, rank today: 4257
- I've found my best way to learn here is to actually work on my site during the training. May not work for all, just a thought. People learn in different ways.
- Past couple of days I've found myself getting caught up in the numbers, i.e. traffic, google analytics, etc.. Don't do it, all it does is puts you in a tailspin and takes you away from putting material on your site. "If you build it, they will come", is not just a phrase from a movie, it's absolutely true.
- Following 80 people I had never met before 10 days ago, and being followed back. This place is Real...by that I mean the opportunity to succeed here is endless and the support is incredible.
So, that's my update, hope this helps someone else and maybe I can look back on it a year from now and say, "that was just the beginning". I'm thinking now of entering the affiliate training and starting a site to market Wealthy Affiliate myself, that's how much I believe in it. My only reservation is figuring out a way to attract people after all the scams and money making schemes that the world has seen since the launching of the World Wide Web. That's where I'm at and I'm 99% positive that I'll be able to push through this hurdle. I was cleaning out my email notifications and I came across your post. It really seems as if you've found a comfortable pace!
As you said, everyone learns differently; just make sure that, as you're working on your site, that you don't get ahead of yourself, and skip over the tasks.
Following "strangers" and having them follow you back is so weird, lol. But what fun! And I can honestly say, that in the 4 months that I've been here, I have a few "favorites" that are very dear to me. May you be able to forge those kinds of friendships as well.
