The following advise was given by Andrew Carnegie on June 23, 1885 when addressing the students of Curry Commercial College of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

“Don’t put all your eggs in one basket” is all wrong. I tell you “put all your eggs in one basket, and then watch that basket.”

Although he was referring to investing, I believe we can learn dfrom this and apply it when starting a business ini this case an eCommerce website here in WA. So find a niche, build your website, get your affiliate connection and start blogging, and leave the next website for latter when you are satisfied with the first one and have developed enough traffic and sales.

"Don't put your efforts in many websites, put them in one and whatch it grow".

That is so true! It's easy to try and spread yourself too thin and try and build too many income streams at once. We all need to focus on one stream, and once that one is successful, rinse and repeat.

Thanks for sharing, Oscar.

The ripple effect from one site will help the process with others!

In terms of online marketing that is good advice, Oscar, creating a solid foundation and then expanding on your efforts is a really good way to go. There will always be opportunities to explore as we move forward and as they say success builds on success.

You know I hadn't really thought of it that way but that is more or less what I am doing trying to make sure I have one site up good and where I want it before starting another one.

And grow. Then hatch another egg and watch it grow. Good advice.
