Site Death and Starting Over
One of my websites died (my main site). I still don't know exactly what happened, but it turned out to be a fatal error. Of course it happened when I was attempting to backup the whole thing...
Actually, I'm not that upset about it. I did cry when I first realized that I couldn't salvage anything, but then I realized that though the site was doing alright, it wasn't amazing. I want amazing. I'm not good with just "okay" or "passable", so I'm taking this as an opportunity to start again; it's not exactly from scratch because I now have a few months worth of more knowledge under my belt and I know more about the direction I want to head in. I was already thinking about wanting to make changes to the old website, but felt stuck because I had a routine and layout that I didn't want to mess with.
Blessings in disguise. Blessings in disguise everywhere! Someone up there knows more about what I want/need than I do. All clouds have a silver lining and this is a gift. One door closed when I didn't expect it to (more like slammed shut in my in my face...), but another is being opened in it's place and I don't know what's on the other side, but I'm working toward epic success!

Hi. It may turn out to be a good thing but if you want to try and get it back sub,it a support ticket. The WA team backs our sites up and may be able to restore it. Just a thought.
Thanks for the information, but I think it's time to let go of the old site and embrace the new, lol. The fact that I wasn't too upset about the whole thing was something like a wake up call for me. Thanks again for the information though, I actually wasn't aware of that!
