Danish Taxes

I've recently begun to worry about taxes. I live in Denmark and I'm not sure how to deal with it here. I've called Skat (=the Danish version of IRS, I suppose) but I have to admit that didn't help me much. I spoke to different people who could only manage to come up with "qualified" guesses. And with everything in the News about Skat these days my faith and trust in them has dwindled.

I'm not sure if I should moms-register or if it's a hobby and when Skat says it's one thing rather than the other. Or even if I have to pay taxes if I earn let's say less than 10.000 dkr a year.

So I was wondering if any of you here are from Denmark and figured out what to do. I'm really worried that I'll get a big slap on the wrist. So advice will be very much appreciated!

back when I was streaming for Curse inc. I looked through tons of papers regarding this - and it all comes down to where the company you are driving business through is stationed..
For example; I streamed through Curse, which is an american company - (I got payed from across the world) I only had to pay 15% in taxes
But I guess it is not that "straight forward" when it comes to getting payed by multiple companies :)
but if you find anything cool - please let me know aswell :D

Will do :)

I would do as Rich stated and see an accountant. That way you know what your options are when you do begin to make money.

Earn the taxable amount, take CA's advice and it is done.

It's obviously different for every country. I think "best advice" is worry about it when you're actually earning a significant amount and then pay a local accountancy service for advice. It's what I did. :) Rich.

I'd just really hate to earn something and then later on get that slap and having to pay taxes + whatever fines they deem appropriate. I'm can be a bit anal when it comes to finances. I need to know how things work to be able to relax. As it is now, I'm actually a bit scared of signing up for affiliate programs or anything else that could give revenue. I'd feel so much better moving forward with that if I knew what to look out for. Or just how much I'd need to set aside from what I earn to pay the taxes when they are due.

Then just find a local accountant or accountancy service and ask. Here in the UK the majority don't charge for an initial consultation, they hope to acquire your business in the future when you start earning sufficient amounts to make it worth paying for their services. :) R.

That's actually not a bad idea... Thank you!
