My First Website Is Taking Flight

I remember flying with my uncle when I was 15. He was an Aeronautical Engineer and was working with BWIA (British West Indian Airways) which is the forerunner to the now Caribbean Airlines. He loved airplanes and would talk about them like they were his very own babies.
When we were taking off from Trinidad, on our way to a family holiday, he had this worried look on his face. You see he knew all the parts of the planes inside and out. So every noise he heard he would give a slight groan with him saying something like, I hope they fixed that. From the landing gear to the flaps, to something that was coming from under the plane, I felt like we were in a bucket of bolts. Well after about 10 of those comments during the flight I was a complete wreck when we landed at Miami International.
What was instructive though was that he knew his business inside and out. And to be at the top of your game you got to have both passion and training. This lesson has stuck with me and in part been reinforced as I have gone forward with my learning here at Wealthy Affiliate.
As some of you know, I have been working hard at one of my sites over the last couple of months building up content, posting to four of my social media channels almost daily and making sure that my user experience on my website is top-notch. Well folks the July 2021 numbers are in and I am very pleased with the encouraging progress.

I am particularly proud that I could have 91 organic users in July and that 91 people have stayed on my site on average 6 minutes and 20 seconds. That's twice the 2-3 minute industry standard. This I attribute to interviews averaging 8 to 10 minutes I did with Influencers within my niche. What also has me pleased is that 22% of my traffic has been driven from my social media channels.
My concentration will continue to be on developing content and building followers for another 3 months before I start down the monetizing track. So if you have been missing me you know where I am.
Ultimately, I am hoping that my cockpit view, of my little Caribbean plane, gives anyone else that is building their own planes, to take to the skies with encouragement.
Looking forward to seeing you up there my fellow WA Aviators.
