005 - How to Offer Help

You might be asking how hard it will be: to offer help to others?

As I first started my Plan B project, I planned to achieve a goal by helping 2 person per month, offering them my skill on the following areas:
1) Landing Page Creation
2) Website Audit
3) Media buy (Google Adwords and FB Ads Marketing)

I started to ask around in my FB group and friends around if they need help.

The responses are generally negative and skeptical.

"Why you are doing this (for free)?"

"How much you are going to charge me?"

"There is no free lunch..."

I tried to explain my objective is: for the first year, I wish to help 20+ people, get to know their pain, refine my training material in the process, only if they interested to outsource the above three areas to me for a longer run, then we will talk about money.

For a start, I just want to help, get my foot wet and reaching out to people.

As the overall response is not very good, I started to re-look into my approach and search in the WA to see anyone had faced the similar problem.

I stumbled @Richinwealth blog, she mentioned about the 100 Person Project:

So I started to research a bit further, and her is the video about Shenee Howard's 100 Person Project.

What Shernee did is "keep talking to people", she talked to 100 people for 15 minutes, understand their challenges, refine her business objective, create a solution around it and sell it.

Very very insightful video and I really grateful I found this information today.
