Embrace Criticism
After completing a WA training module on how to create a header for your blog or site I added some comment to the comment section associated with this training module.
I asked the WA community members to check out my new header and give me some feedback. A certain member accepted my offer and reported back.
I was certain I was going to hear back from these members and be praised for a wonderful job I had done. One of the 7 deadly sins Jay talks about was appearing in my business.
I was a little taken back by his findings. It seems that my website I was so proud of and thought was the best out there needed some proofreading.
My initial thought was, who is he and my site is just fine. After some thought I came to the understanding that my job as a professional online marketer was to provide the best experience for my readers.
So, I swallowed my pride and revisited my site for a proof-reading test. I was really shocked at what I discovered.
This WA member was right, my site needed some proof-reading corrections done to it.
Spelling, grammar and more.
The point I am trying to make is to accept and embrace criticism and use as a positive tool to help us become better online marketers.
We also need to be visiting our sites often, to perform quality testing.
I thank this WA member for his willingness to help and show me that I can become a better website builder if I only open my mind to new ideals and suggestions.
To your WA success,
Gerald Stidham

It IS really hard to be objective when we create something AND it is so difficult to proof read our own words. You make a great point about embracing criticism - I'm sure the criticism from this community will be constructive.
