Looking Fear in the Face - And just doing it anyways!

Hi all!

This is my first blog post ever and the beginning of my exciting road to internet business success!

I've been wanting to get into online business through blogging or marketing for many years now, but probably like many people before me, I always let one big thing get in my way:

FEAR

The Fear that I wouldn't be able to figure it out.

The Fear that I would choose the wrong "niche".

The Fear that people would judge my decision as reckless, naive, or just plain dumb.

The Fear that I would fail.

And, lastly, that fear none of us like to admit but all know too well. The fear of what were to happen if somehow, just maybe, I actually happened to succeed at this thing.

Fear is something that has stopped me and controlled many different aspects of my life (not just this decision) for as long as I can remember. And it is hard to move past. I won't pretend like it's not.

But sometimes you have to just give into the fear, and do it anyways. Take that leap of faith. Close your eyes and scream and jump even though you're terrified to do so. Because if you're always letting fear run your life then you're not really living it. Then you're the only reason for your own failure. You are the one getting in the way of your own success and missed opportunities. But you don't have to be.

For years I was in the camp of:

F - Forget

E - Everything

A - And

R - Run

But now I choose to live in a different camp. The one that doesn't let fear control my life. The one that sees fear, acknowledges it, but does it anyways.

F - Face

E - Everything

A - And

R - Rise

Joining Premium was one of these little victories for my battle against fear. For now I've given myself the best chance to succeed and therefore limited the amounts of excuses I could use to talk myself out of this. And I cannot wait to move forward on this new path and prove to myself, once and for all, that I can do it! With hardwork, dedication, and some patience and time, anything is possible and this interent business thing is definitely within my reach!

Some last thoughts on fear is more of a game plan for how you can try to overcome it yourself if you might be struggling with this as well.

F - Focus your thoughts! Acknowlegde your fears and think about what their root really is. Take a few minutes to breathe and focus on what you are wanting to do or achieve, and whether or not this fear is founded in real danger and truth or just unknowns and possibilities.

E - Equip yourself for battle! Do your research if your fear is too much or paralyzing. Make sure you really know the information you need to make the best, most educated decision you can. But, at the same time, make sure that you don't overdo the researching and allow this to lead you to inaction.

A - ACT! Most important of all, just do it! Act! Take the chance or risk and plunge ahead! Because nothing will ever happen if you don't move forward in life.

R - Remember that the Universe (or God - if you believe in that) is in control! Whatever will be, will be. Whatever is supposed to happen, will. Unless your fear is founded in what you know and understand to be a risk to your life, well being, or an immediate threat, then just go for it. What's the worst that can happen?

Anyways, I hope my little rant on FEAR was helpful to someone. But even if it wasn't, I know that this is information that I, myself, will need to return to every now and then. So, in a sense, I've written this piece as a good reminder to myself to always look fear in the face and just do it anyways.
