Can a Newbie Give Advice to other Newbies?

Last Update: April 24, 2018

Although I am very new here at WA,I believe that welcoming fellow newbies is something that I want to be doing in order to initiate support for each other from the get go and share whatever tips or (or unsolicited advice) that might help them to kick-start their online marketing dreams much more smoothly than I have so far

What have I learned so far? In my own words,...

WA is not a quick money type of scheme. As I understand it, it’s about getting a large number of potential consumers to click on, or purchase any product that is being advertised through a blog or other type of communication from your very dedicated website per niche or specific market. Skills that are needed include growing your network, developing a niche, acquiring websites and other online skills, blogging, producing traffic on the websites, mastering social engagement, etc.

The WA Business Model uses training and mutually supportive mechanisms to try to lift up everyone involved. The training is excellently designed in that it allows for putting in action whatever you just learned. It goes through the different skills needed to eventually be successful. The mutually supportive mechanisms include the different communications that come your way as soon as you join, live charts, space for questions, and pretty soon, designations of mentors and coaches, online classes, etc.

Members of the Community are extremely helpful. As soon as you ask a question on a chat or in the classroom, it usually takes a few minutes before you get a response back. When you decide to follow folks on WA, they are quick to follow you back with kind words and genuine offer of support.

So, what are my tips to fellow newbies today?

*Unless you decide to bow out because of the hard work that is expected of us, get to Premium membership right away so that you can avail yourselves of the so many resources on WA a mentioned above.

*Understand the various areas of help assistance and do not be afraid to ask questions and be engaged.

*Above all, you must carve sometime in your busy schedule for at least the two trainings (Certification and Booth Camp).

While I am still going through the Certification course, I welcome the newer newbies to the Community. We are in this one together! Much success to you all!

Ntam, I really enjoyed your post. What country are you from? You write very well, as if English is your first language. Is it?

I love the international aspect of our community and like learning about my friends from other countries' culture.

Congrats on a very interesting and pertinent post. And the obvious answer to your question, which you have so eloquently answered, is a resounding "YES", of course newbies can give advice to other newbies! Carol

Thanks for your kind words, Carol, particularly re my English. I am from DRC, Africa. Born and grew up there until my mid 20s; used Swahili and French as national and official languages. Moved to the US for graduate school; married an Alabama girl, got a job at an HBCU in Alabama; raised 5 children together; in the process of retiring soon; joined WA with the purpose of keeping up with inflation and technology in my retirement; etc.

More than you asked for, isn't it?

Not at all. I love hearing about my international friends, where they're from, their culture, and families and lifestyles. We are all brothers and sisters on this Earth, and it's so interesting to learn about other branches of our family! Thanks for sharing.

Best wishes as you build your WA business and your retirement planning.

Great post and it is very interesting. I have been following newbie as well as the seasoned affiliates. We can learn from each other and that is a great thing. That is how I look at things. I don't think it would hurt to help the newbie out if you can answer the question I say go for it. As you learn you will be able to help another affiliate. I hope this helps you out.

Well said. That is a great attitude. You seem very direct and to the point. I like that about you already! I am the same way.

A very good member to follow is botipton. He has several posts. He has one about getting to know people better here at wealthy affiliate. He is very straight forward as well and very down to earth....just a likable guy.

He has several videos as well, very informative. In one, he mentions to get a group of people together so all together, you can comment on each other's websites, blogs, videos, etc. I really love that idea, quite clever. If you would be interested in starting a group, check out the video and let me know. I would be more than happy to join.

I cannot remember what the title to the video is.....I think it's "How to comment on a blog". Very good tips and a ton of good information as well. I don't know how to create links and all that....I'm hoping to learn that soon!

I have my first certification. I am working on Course 2 now. And I am still super excited about joining this adventure. Best of luck to you and I hope to chat with you soon.
