It's not easy, but probably a blessing in the long run. Necessity is the mother of invention. I got a good swift kick in the back side too when my entire industry went off shore, and my clients were dropping like flies. Even though it is rough to lose a comfortable income, I would never have considered learning all this good stuff when I was fat and content. It's opened a whole world to me. And also you.
LOL yes, but it's tough when it happens. I was TOTALLY caught off guard. Had just gotten a promotion and a fat raise and a few months later... POOF. Job eliminated.
