Coming up against a brick wall - and climbing over it
Every time I get stuck I stop. No matter what I'm doing if I come up against a brick wall I seem to have lost my instant ability to move it out of the way. This has happened to me with the topic of reviews.
I don't like writing reviews. As a writer I should write far more than I do (for other writers)
but I have some inherent dislike of them and when it comes to something I haven't actually tried ... well then I'm banjaxed altogether.
It's not that I don't have the imagination to write them but there's a responsibility involved when you recommend something or even worse, when you don't recommend something.
However. Today I had not one, but TWO breakthroughs. I was stuck on a story because I couldn't come up with a motive for a murder and I happened to read something else which gave me an idea ( completely different to what I was reading) and my plot is saved.
In turn, that gave me an idea about the reviews. I'm going to post a question for all you lovely people :-)
See you soon.

Hey Norah,
I am glad you were able to get the idea. I am just so happy when that happens and think how much I appreciate it. It might just be
divine intervention.
Cheers,
Ken
If I write a review of a product I have never used, I usually add a caveat that says the product may be worth a try or meets the benefits or features a reader wants. For example, if you are looking for a 500 rpm widget, this product does 500 rpm.
I personally do not use a rating system (stars or some number out of 100) because I generally don't have knowledge of competing products to base a rating.
It is amazing where the ideas seem to come from sometimes, the good thing is if we're are stuck an answer is only a question away.
Over, under, through, around, doesn't matter how as long as you keep going OK
