What's Next? My Next Project Quilts or Dog Food
I'm thinking about what my next project will be. Some of you have suggested that I do something on "quilts". And that's a good possibility. I know a little about quilting, but I'm not sure I know enough to write about.
Quilts and Quilting Products?
If I do quilts and quilting products how do I write about the many products that quilting requires? Or do I just feature certain products, maybe 5 or 6, or do I just take on the whole quilting products? I know several quilt product suppliers also supply craft products. So do I take on crafty items too? Or just be an affiliate with the company and whatever sales comes through my website I'll get commissions on.
Putting that in writing almost convinced me. Well I'll have to think about it long and hard. I don't know if that is too broad of a spectrum or not.
Or Dog Food?
My big dog, Matlock, is a big eater. So I thought about promoting dog food. But I find that he is a picky eater. Can you promote several brands of dog food on one website? I really think you can. And that would be great, because I could order from myself and Matlock would never run out of food.
That's quite a span, from quilts to dog food. As you can tell, I'm using you guys as a sounding board. I just need to think about my next project and weigh the chances of being an expert at doing something. I know if you research something long enough, you can become sort of an expert. Hey! Maybe I could do both!!
Right now I am going threw the 2nd Phase of Bootcamp. And I must admit I am enjoying doing the lessons. Although there are some things that still confuses me. Like how to use tags and what are tags and the whole Google Analytify thing is still a mystery to me.
But mystery or no, I'm not giving up! I will learn this process, I will, I will. I may be old but my mind still works, how be it sometimes a little slow. I just know if I take my time and don't rush myself, I am going to make a go of it.
I am so glad I found WA. I have been wanting to become an affiliate for a long time, but just didn't know how to get there. This is the answer!

Nita, you have two great niches there. It seems to me, being a dog caretaker, too, that the dog food niche is a good one for you. You can branch it out into making your own dog food or treats. My 2 1/2 pound Yorkshire Terrier loves treats, but I have to keep her weight down -- not much to play with there, so I make healthy treats for her. Just a thought. I wish you much success.
Thank you so much for your help!. I will consider what you said. Matlock's weight is around 110. I'm not sure about making treats for him, not sure if what to make.

Sit quietly for a while and think about your ideas. See which one makes you feel better and go with that one. As Phil says go with your instinct.
