Hey team, Im tired of my theme as I have gained more knowledge and feedback for what I want my site to look like. Is it as simple as switching themes if my online store is woo
Here is Kyle's authority training on making the switch! How to Change Your Website Theme in Wordpress
I have switch my theme as my knowledge grew too. It was fairly a simply process. I found the new theme that I wanted to use and then activated it. All of the old info transferred over and I customized the new features that are a part of the new theme.

It should be that simple, sometimes it's not, but you can always switch back.
The most important factor in choosing a theme is that it should be truly responsive, capable of repurposing your site, regardless of the platform, operating system, browser or size of screen. You'll often find that over 50% of a site's traffic will come from mobile phones these days, so it needs to display your content well on a 4" screen.
Have a look at a theme like Customizr which is popular with many members at WA. https://wordpress.org/themes/customizr/
There's also extensive documentation on using it here:

Sounds good, Richard! I'll check that out too. I have had non-WA websites, so I am aware of making sure they are responsive.

My site is running super slow and at a needs work or dangerously slow level. tried optimizing and installed a cache plug in that helped but still slow, any advice is much appr
So I have 14 plugins running.. I know it's a lot but most came with the theme for woo commerce, added statistics, social and performance and now p3...site won't run without woo commerce so unsure of where to go now
What can add to slow load time is your graphics & video's.
Sometimes people add large pics and then just grab the corners of them and make them smaller. But if you change the pixels of the graphic's to make it smaller, it helps your load speed.
Hope that helps and all my best,
Doug
Install P3 which will check everything including your theme and other plugins. https://wordpress.org/plugins/p3-profiler/
