The Sky's The Limit!

Last Update: March 09, 2021

I've reached the end of level 2 training, woohoo, and am STILL anxious to learn on! Before mid-February I was going through the motions......wake up, eat breakfast, planning my spring garden on paper, recuperating from multiple surgeries, and just passing the time. Since then, however, I stumbled upon WA while searching for work I could do from home.

I researched WA and decided it may be something I would be interested in, since I already have a blog and enjoy writing. I thought, why not give it a try and maybe I could even make some money in the process?!

So here I am creating my first blog for WA. I am very proud of what I have accomplished so far. My website on beginning gardening is flourishing and I even was google indexed on one of my posts! People tell me that's a good thing! Lol!

I've gardened since I was a child with my Mom and have learned many tricks for creating beautiful gardens. I thought this could be a good niche for me to help others create some beauty in their lives, too. I feel I have stirred some creative inner juices in some people from reading the 8 comments I have received thus far. That makes me happpy!

I'm finding this is fun, but also very challenging. With every new topic comes more questions. For instance, I see it's good to have my own email account for my website, but why isn't it live when I click on it, and why is it not listed when I search my gmail accounts? Maybe because it's not a gmail? I don't know. You can probably surmise I am NOT tech savvy, but I keep trying!

Also, I'm reluctant to customize my website for fear I'll delete all my posts! Yikes!!! As you can see I am just a babe in this great big scary world of technology!

But that won't stop me. I keep asking questions from my new WA family, who are very helpful by the way, and search the web for solutions. My goals are to continue writing and hopefully adding affiliates within the next month or two and perhaps earning a bit of money at the six month point!

I feel the sky IS the limit with WA and I'm excited to be a part of it!

Hey Nina great to see you have the right attitude with your blogs and ideas for your website. You have thought this out carefully and I liked the parts you stated to keep writing which is your passion but knowing to add affiliate later instead of rushing into it.

As for the fear of deleting all your posts. don't be what I do is create my posts in Word and save them to a folder for that particular website I have.

Then once done I copy it to my website that way I will always have a backup elsewhere should anything go wrong.

Also, don't forget that WA does backups for our website on a regular so should something happen you can always get Site Support to restore it to the last backup they have.

So don't worry about deleted the posts just unless you hit the delete button. Apart from that, you should be fine.

Keep going forward and continue to enjoy all you do.

Wishing you a great 2021

Andre

That's a great idea to keep it in a folder on word. In fact, my children have been telling me to do that too. I'll go in and copy what I already have. Thanks for the advice!

Hi Nina, and welcome to WA.

I love your niche and hope I can check it out in the near future. I was not born with green fingers (to put it mildly), and have a lot to learn about gardening.

Maybe I can find some good tips and ideas from your site? Spring is approaching, and I have big plans for my garden/terrace and planting this year.

I look forward to following you further on your journey.

I wish you much success.

Take care and stay safe.

Cathy.

Yes, The sky is the limit. The opportunities abound. Your excitement is neat! We are excited for you too.

I noticed you mentioned you were concerned about messing up your website. Have you installed a backup plugin? That way when you are doing something that you feel may make a mess of things you can backup your site first. We use the plugin backupwordpress. There are many free ones available. Also site Support backs up your site once a day, but I am not sure what time that is.

We are just thrilled that you found this website and are engrossed in the training and so hungry to learn and do.

Wealthy Affiliate provides limitless email account creation for your domain names. Have you created any yet? websites -> site domainis -> emails. If you transfer your site email to a gmail account it may not always be dependable because of the provider.

There are a lot of neat things to discover in WA. May you enjoy them like we do.

Here's to your success as you continue to learn and do..

Thanks for the info. Do I just go to plugins on the menu and click on the backupwordpress plug in? Is it the updraft backupwordpress?

You just go to plugins and add it, install and activate.
This one is not updraft backup - you can use that one too.
We use the one called "backupwordpress".

Many use Updraft.
