Having trouble getting some affiliate codes to work?

I feel so dumb that this took me as long as it did to figure out... I've been adding affiliate links to my blog for a couple of months now but had problems with some of the code not showing the images. I got around it by saving the images to my computer, uploading them to my blog and then adding my affiliate link to the image.
Some codes worked but quite a few didn't. After a while, I decided I really needed to figure out what the problem was.
Eventually, I realised it was my ad blocker! DOH!!!

So, if you're having problems adding affiliate links, and finding that when you add the html code nothing is showing up in your post or sidebar, try disabling your ad blocker!
This made me realise though that uploading an image and adding your affiliate link to it is probably better anyway. If I can't see the ad because of my ad blocker, then lots of my readers won't see it either.
Please tell me I'm not the only one who took ages to figure this out!
