Inside the box thinking?
So, I've spent some time thinking about the popular phrase, "Think outside the box". It's meant to encourage creativity and risk taking. But somewhere along the way the box got a bad rap. I want to challenge that thinking. Sometimes it's cool to be inside the box. Here are three times it's best "Think Inside the Box".
When Learning Something New
One of the times you want to be inside the box is when you're learning something new. For example, there's a reason Wealthy Affiliates take things one step at a time. It's important to go through the training one task at a time so that you build a strong foundation to carry you forward.
Going Back to Basics
It's amazing to me how often I find myself stuck or spinning my wheels and it's because I've let something fundamental slip away. For example, in personal finances, we might get really relaxed and look up and wonder where all our money went. But when we think about it, it's something simple like we haven't been following a basic budget. That's a time to get right back in the box and get your fundamentals back on track. In the WA world, if something isn't working out as it should, maybe there's something in earlier trainings that we're not executing.
Preparing to Launch
Have you ever watched a kid play with a box and wonder what that was all about? What's happening is all the possibilities that can be imagined for the outside world are conceived within the box and then played out within the box. When they are done with their imaginative adventure, they come out. They are now outside the box with the inside the box vision in their mind and hearts.
What Happens Next?
What happens next is what counts, being inside the box prepares you for outside the box thinking. There's nothing wrong with the box. It's just that fear sometimes either keeps us in the box or we get out the box but decide to play it safe instead of living out the dreams for our lives.
I know everyone in the WA community has gotten out of the box and are bringing inside the box dreaming and turning it into outside of the box living. That's what I love about the community. And I just wanted to encourage everyone to keep pushing and remind you as well, sometimes it's ok to get back in the box.
