Change your mind with 5 basic tools.

Mindset is everything. The way we think the way we feel and the way we act determines our future.

Here are 5 basic tools to use to change the way you think, feel and act. When you invest in yourself you invest in your future.

1. Take time every day to disconnect. Turn off all distractions and close your eyes and be present.

2. Take long breaths and center your attention to the present moment. In this moment you have more energy. Your mind is not creating from the predictable future or familiar past. In the present moment you are most creative.

3. Ask yourself can I be defined by a vision of the future instead of memories of the past.

What do I actually want to happen in my future life? Take the time to answer.

    As you think you now change the neurons in your brain to fire and wire differently. You begin to change your mind by changing the sequences and patterns in your brain.

    Decide on the emotions you want to feel as you create your new future life.

    Teach your body emotionally how the new life feels. Don’t get up until you feel these emotions.

    4. Rehearse in your mind who you will be when you open your eyes. Take note of the things you need to do, the choices you need to make and the steps you need to take.

    Review them over and over again.

    5. You cannot go to the future holding on to the biology of the past.

    Decide which thoughts you cannot take with you. Write them down. So get rid of excuses - I can’t do it, it’s too hard, I don’t have money etc.

    Decide what habits you cannot take with you. Write them down like procrastinating, getting up late, drinking a lot etc. Also unconscious habits like blaming, gossiping, feeling sorry for yourself etc.

    Become conscious of these habits now and never go unconscious again.

    Decide which emotions to leave behind because they do not belong in your future. Write them down. Fear, lack, insecurity, jealousy etc.

    Begin to condition your body to a new mind. Do this every day.

    Your personality creates your new personal reality. Your personality is made up of how you think, how you act and how you feel.

      Change any one of these things and you change your life.
