Big IM Guru Mailing Lists?
Hey! Hope you're having a great day! Just a quick blog post today about the IM Mailing Lists which I am sure most of you are members of - and that includes myself.
When I first started out in IM way back in 2009, I'd sign up to practically all of the so-called Big Gurus' lists and that in turn of course led me to been automatically added to many of their IM buddys' lists as well, so it had a snowball effect! Not surprisingly, in no time my inbox was swamped with emails as I was been peppered with offers left, right and centre.
I've now trimmed the list down to about a half dozen or so of the folks in IM that I really trust.
I was considering removing myself from all IM marketers; lists (bar Kyle and Carson) but I felt that was a bit harsh and would probably lead to been left out of the loop, so to speak.
So now, if I fancy signing up to a lead page but I don't know the marketer for example, I simply use a separate email address used specifically for this purpose - that way I don't get distracted and lose focus. In the beginning, it was all too easy to get distracted by the next shiny new object that came along - aka Shiny Object Syndrome. Don't fall victim to SOS!
What's the single biggest reason some 97% of people in IM don't see any real success? It's because they don't stick at something long enough. I've also fallen victim to this in the past.
So do yourself a favour guys, if you haven't already - remove yourself from the markerters who you feel are not adding true value to your business goals and vision. also, consider setting up a separate email address for the "other stuff".
Comments and feedback are most wlecome!
Take care and enjoy the rest of your day,
Nick

Hey, Nick. Nice post, thank you. I have some since early 2000 but they are in my other email box which I don't open anymore. :/
Cheers,
Jenn
