MEDICATIONS WITH THE MANY SIDE EFFECTS
As a healthcare provider I am always looking at ways in which to help my patients live a more healthy and rewarding life. Sometimes it is such an uphill task when I have exhausted all of my options.
One of the many issues facing healthcare providers and the patients are the side effects of medications, especially the psychotropics. I have seen where patients started on one medication and because of their side effects end up talking two or three more medication to manage the side effects.
One example of such medication is one called lisinopril, this medication is for the treatment of hypertension. Two of the side effects are cough and impotence. This patient started taking Advil as if he was suffering from asthma and a testosterone builder for his impotence.
I was able to work with this patient in finding a hypertensive medication with minimum side effects, and was able to reverse the use of the Advil and the testosterone medications. What is your experience?

I found prednisone to be a wonderful yet horrible med, it was effective for issue at hand, however caused insomnia and enhanced my appetite, thankfully I only needed it short term .
That is correct, thank goodness it is usually prescribed for short term because it is a steroidal medication. Thanks for your interaction
