What kind of skills do you have?
As all successful internet marketers on WA knows, the more skills you have translates into more dollars. With each skill you learn, you will be able to bring in additional revenue. Let's look at how this plays out:
You have just created an incredible course showing at-home entrepreneurs how to balance their time. Here are some common fees you are going to incur in the process of selling your product:
- Creating 3D eBook Cover: $15
- Making custom images for your eBook: $100
- Building professional website + hosting: $500 (minimum - eCommerce could cost more)
- Marketing product: $1000
You are looking at between $1,500 to $2,000 to launch your product. Of course, you are all reading this via WA so you know how to take advantage of the free website builder supplied on the site. However, most web designers are creating on WordPress for a reason: nothing beats it in customization. This is not to take away from the customization of SiteRubix. It's great. However, if you ever get into designing websites for others then most clients are going to prefer WordPress.
Expand your skill set! This is the best advice I can give to anyone in the Internet Marketing world. Don't pay anyone to do anything for you. Teach yourself how to do eBook Covers, graphic design, WordPress site building, & marketing for your product.
You will be glad you did! Also, while many internet marketers are attempting to find niche systems that generate wealth, there is even more money in partnering with the people looking to find these systems.
What does every internet marketer have in common?
THEY NEED A WEBSITE TO SELL/MARKET THEIR PRODUCTS
Many of them are not going to be interested in listening to the advice I have already given you. They are going to find someone to do their graphic design, website design, & marketing. By teaching yourself how to do all of those skills on your own website, you can now offer those skills to others at a premium.

I agree. This may be an online business, but it is still technically a business and some of the same rules apply!
Great post Nicholas, some very good take homes, especially the one about teaching your self how to do things, a very good way to get an understanding and develop a skill set.
Hi Nicholas, I agree with most of what you say. Especially the part on learning new skills.
That's something you should never grow tired of, as it helps you grow in various ways.
However, selling your time for money is something that, I think, most of us are trying to avoid. It's not a scalable business, whereas building a site; let it run, and then build another site. Etc. is scalable.
I think when you have a constant stream of revenue from affiliate marketing or whatever scalable system you have chosen, then it's time to look for something that gives you most satisfaction.
And that might very well be exchanging your time for money :-)
