When Opportunities Knock, Answer!

The quote above is the “Quote of the Day” on one of my affiliate programs' websites. So, I am writing this post because I feel inspired by it.

Meaning of the Quote:

As you make use of the opportunities that you are given, more will come your way. “When opportunity knocks, don’t let fear hold you back. Open the door and embrace the opportunity that has come forth.”

Discussion of the Quote:

Opportunity is defined as “a set of circumstances that makes it possible to do something.” When it comes to opportunities, you either seize them and do them with all your might. Or, you do them with a little of your might, which is as good as not doing any at all. And yet, others totally let opportunities pass them by never to return again. “Big opportunities in life have to be seized. We didn’t do very many things, but when we get the chance to do something that’s right and big, we’ve got to do it. And even to do it on a small scale is just as big of a mistake, almost as not doing it at all. Warren Buffett

Yes, many times, you let opportunities slip through your fingers because you are afraid of the unknown, the known, the future and more. You tell yourself many stories of why you can not seize the opportunities that come your way.

More importantly, when you do not seize an opportunity, you are preventing yourself the chance to grow, to become a better version of who you are, to step out of your comfort zone, but more significantly, to grow your wings so that you can fly. “Nothing is more expensive than a missed opportunity.”

However, when you grab hold of any opportunity that comes your way, you will attract more when you begin to fulfill the ones that you are working on. You get to learn about yourself the real truth of who you are as a person. Also, you get to take risks, face your fears and spread your wings and soar. Opportunities allow you to develop new skills and gain new knowledge. Most importantly, they allow you to become the persons that you are meant to be. “Life opens up opportunities to you, and you either take them or stay afraid of taking them.” Jim Carrey.

Final Thoughts:

When it comes to our online businesses, opportunities will come our way. We will seize some, we will work on some halfheartedly, others we will let pass us by. However, we all should answer when opportunities knock. It is a chance for us to stretch ourselves, demonstrate what we are capable of, awaken hidden qualities within us and most of all bring out the legends within ourselves. So remember this: “Opportunities to find deeper powers within ourselves come when life seems most challenging.” Joseph Campbell
