Discussion of the Quote:
Life is not a bed of roses. Misfortunes are a part of life. They will come when they will come. However, the way you handle makes all the difference. Once you are able to learn and grow from them, then you will not be subdued by them. However, if you attain them and become subdued by them then there will be no growth and experience gained.
Misfortunes cause you to lose your strength and your vision and this can cause you to lose your way. This can result in many health issues if not properly handled. If there are misfortunes, there must be means to overcome them. Also, get the lessons from them and be better and stronger as you continue on your journey.
Final Thoughts:
There will be fortunes and misfortunes in life. You have to possess the strength to hang in there and realize that misfortunes are temporary. Therefore, you have to have the courage to deal with them and not to lose yourself.
It is important to have a positive mindset because it is necessary to overcome your misfortunes. More, importantly, “As long as you can savor the humorous aspect of misery and misfortune, you can overcome anything.”

Misfortunes DO come no matter how good your life is. It helps to stay positive so that you can come up with the best solution to the issue. Sometimes only in hindsight do you see the lesson and realize how you've been refined/strengthened by the misfortune though. The hardest things that I've gone through made me grow the most.

A terrific quote. Being able to see the big picture is not easy for so many people who live in the weeds. You see that in politics and you see it in daily life, effectively thinking short term. I have tried to take a big picture approach to WA. It needs patience and dedication but slowly but surely I`m succeeding as I`m sure you are too! Have a great weekend and day.

If we are talking business. misfortune can crush you, it takes time to rebuild. It does make you stronger when you do overcome.

Experiences in business both good and bad develop understanding, and it is that understanding that develops vision.
Either way at the merging of fortune and misfortune, we are at that crossroads, implode or rise above it all.
