Life Is a Journey That We Are All On
“Life is a journey with big rocks to climb, little ones to trip over and milestones to mark where we have been.” David Cuschieri. We are all on our lives’ journeys. However, no one will understand our journeys because they are not traveling along with us. There will be growing, changing and coming to terms with who and what we are as well as acceptance of ourselves no matter what happens along our journeys. “Life is a journey with problems to solve, lessons to be learned, but most of all experiences to enjoy.”
Indeed, our lives’ journeys are gifts that we should enjoy because we do not know how long our journeys will last but we can decide how they will unfold. The obstacles along our journeys are for us to build strength so that can continue our journeys. Yes, there will be big rocks to climb, but in climbing them we will gain all we need to become proficient in our climbing. The big rocks are equivalent to our goals that we will achieve so as we finish one climb there will be many more climbs. So, climb the big rocks to the very tops and then down again to begin yet another climb. “Your life is a journey. Your attitude is the guide.” PJ Ferguson.
On the other hand, the little rocks are like stepping stones to the big ones. We will trip over the little rocks but in so doing, we will get the know-how that will prepare us to climb the big rocks. So, stumble over the little rocks so that you will know how not to fall while climbing the big ones. “Life is like a roller-coaster with thrills, chills, and a sigh of relief.” Susan Bennett.
There will be many milestones in our lives. The greatest is the day we were born and the day we discover why. Then there are the in between milestones. Yes, we should celebrate the milestones as we travel along our journeys. There will be big ones and little ones but they all have their significance in our lives. There will be weddings, new births, deaths, first time events, highs, lows, successes, failures, anniversaries and the list goes on… We treasure our milestones so we capture them with photos, videos, writings, paintings and more. “One of the most important milestones we’ll all hit along the way is the moment when we finally own our unique point of view and realize how priceless it is.” Sarah Ban Brenathnach.
Finally, “What Do You Really Want: Despite our different packing and problems, we’re pretty much all on the same road. But we choose different paths to what we really want. Some will choose big lives and others smaller ones. The only wrong choice is staying stuck where you don’t want to be.” Helen S. Rosenau.
